To get snapshots, open your launcher and press the “New Profile” button. Call it “snapshots” and check the box saying “Enable experimental development snapshots” and save. To switch to the normal version, you can select it in the dropdown at the bottom left corner of the launcher. Back up your world first or run the game on in a different folder (See the “new profile” dialog).
Snapshots can corrupt your world, please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.

Simply put as "Island"
Would make for great Survival Island map creation if you could generate an ocean world with only one or a handful of small islands populating the map.
Minecraft is not only survival, not all updates or new features has to be intended to expand survival. It's very useful to creative mode players.
Now all we have to do is wait for the community to complain about it now that they got those terrain sliders, but aren't happy about for some reason.Good, good...
I mean has it frozen or is it actually generating th e world?
draining the ocean is interesting. Lava oceans seem to cause it to have 40 fits
To be more precise, the world is generated for water at Y=63 regardless of the water level you pick. MogMiner is trying to minimize changes, so I doubt that will change.
The world limit is settable, and I think the default is 30,000*K* or 30,000,000; i.e., same as the limit previously enforced by bit-length issues. I just teleported to 100,000 without any trouble.
