Have You Played on Hypixel Server?

Server hosting powerhouse Multiplay is well known for their Minecraft servers, and have recently joined forces with another powerhouse in server entertainment, Hypixel! With ten different game modes to choose from - including Bow Spleef, TNT Run, VampireZ, Quakecraft, Survival Blitz, Walls (and MegaWalls), and more - the Hypixel Server can host up to 15 thousand players at once! Even better, you can bring your friends along, and party up, so you always play in the same games with your friends. Not sure if your friends are online? wow just...WOW i thoght the front page was for MINECRAFT NEWS but nooooooo its now for AVERTISING SERVERS NOW! And the server isent that good IMO anyway...

That is 'advertising' someone's project, be it a map, resource pack or video. Hypixel does a huge amount for the community, and the staff on the forum and staff of Hypixel & co. are good friends.

Thing is everybody, this isn't even worded like a spotlight. This is worded as an advertisement for the hosting company, pointing out that the server can serve thousands at a time.

That, and Hypixel has already had a spotlight for the server.

This is blatant misuse of the front page and news forum.

Allow me to direct you to the proper forum, Sacheverell: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum/131-minecraft-server-hosting/. That, or make a banner add.

well time to get a new "news" poster now!Because this one just abused and i love how no staff what so ever are saying "no this isen't avertising because they know it IS!

I do realise this as advertising, but in other way.

Sach didn't want to advertise THE server, he wanted to advertis PLAYING on the server. Besides, Hypixel.net is now more Popular than Uberminecraft.com servers. Be honest, everybody knows the Hypixel server, if you don't play there - why did you buy Minecraft?

You guys know how much multiplay costs right? You pay per slot and if you want extra memory you have to pay for that as well. Extremely expensive, I only think hypixel can afford a server like that.

It would be half news and half advertising guys: They announced they they switched server companies, which is the news, and they just said whatever is on there.

And I've been on the server since early November, not so long ago, but I'm a pro at paintball But I suck at survival games

Kudos to your marketing and the ability to toss money and get exposure but lets not for one moment think these people have helped minecraft with this disposable gameplay style. Servers like Hypixel will be the downfall of Minecraft online sandbox gameplay.
