13w36a Snapshot Ready for Testing!

UPDATE:

The current Snapshot has been updated to 13w36b! If you are testing the Snapshots out, be sure to update the version in your launcher, by selecting it from the "Use Version" drop-down box in your "Edit Profile" menu!

THE SNAPSHOT

The moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived: the 13w36a Snapshot is out! This Snapshot covers a pile of awesome new features, so let's just jump right in, shall we?

Hm...it seems the features are hidden! Can you find them?

To get the snapshot, open your launcher and press the “New Profile” button. Call it “snapshots” and check the box saying “Enable experimental development snapshots”, and save. To switch to the normal version, you can select it in the dropdown at the bottom left corner of the launcher.

Melons only spawn in Jungle, and it is from the snapshot. There are also large fern and double high grass, now. And at least new biomes I have seen. Mesa, Birch Forest, Deep Ocean, Covered Forest, and... Umm... Oh yeah, Ice Spikes.

That's the Disco Hills biome, they screwed up and hardened clay didnt generate.

There appear to be random drops coming from the fishing rod.....

So far, I've gotten:

- enchanted book
- string
- zombie flesh
- ink sacs
- enchanted fishing rod
- leather

Anyone else getting this?

Pretty sure that's intentional, as you're supposed to be able to get random loot from fishing now, but some of the stuff seems weird. Zombie Flesh? If you say so Mojang...

I also seem to get this, I think it may be because fish have swallowed them or they are on the bottom of a river. I don't know XD

XD The sad part is it appears I've caught more random loot than actual fish....
I'm sure they'll probably fix that by the time they make the stable release.
