Vareide gives us a look into what could easily be the scariest Minecraft map ever made! Think you can handle it, knowing that it terrified both Vareide and the Yogscast itself?
I don't know - I've played around with a few frightening mechanics in Mystery of the Pumpkin Castle, and yet I don't think true horror is that easy to achieve in the game, haha.
Maybe I'm wrong, but hey, we'll see when I play it.
This was a pretty creative map even though the concept was done before by another video game if I am remembering correctly. There were a couple of shock moments so that was good and the sounds were impressively done for an adventure map. I do say that with all of the recent updates for Minecraft. I eagerly look forward to seeing how adventure maps evolve over time. The updates really did make the game into a console. It could literally transcend genres.
Death kind of ruins it unless you're at the end of the map.
For example I'd rather die from a sudden unexpected drop rather than have Herobrine kill you or have unfindable traps.
Lol I agree. but you left out Variede... Variede is good at masking scary things in his animations, so this map will probably make me make me pee my pants scared because I get scared just installing the Herobrine mod, so I think it will be scary for me.
A youtube "organization" that plays games and the main channel has almost 6,000,000 subs. They scare easily :POn topic, I watched the first minute or so of the video and decided not to even try P.S. I scare easy.
Seriously. From my limited experience, put them in a room with a zombie spawner and they'll start running around going "AGH! SPAWNER!! SPAAAWWNNNNNER!!!! WHAT DO!! WHAT DO!!".....
Anyways, I'll get scared if you put a mob behind me and I didn't see it coming. Nonetheless, I can't honestly say that I can find anything in Minecraft actually scary--in the end, it's pixelated on a small screen and if the sounds are bad for whatever reason I just mute the computer and it all goes away. Ultimately there's nothing scary to be had. You can make me jump 25 feet in the air if you do it right, but besides that...
Credit for making a good map--I'd just recommend a different genre
Jump scares. Nothing special. horror to me is something that gets under your skin and creeps you out, makes you think about it. This made my laugh. Using famous YouTuber heads? Check. Herobrine? Check. Nothing scary, just laughable. It would be better if you started with no effects and slowly got slower and everything got darker. Sorry, but not scary at all, but the sounds and the bloody textures were cool

It doesn't take much to scare those guys xD

But invis traps would make a good maze map.

I can get creeped out pretty easily too
However I did watch 45 seconds (exactly) more than you!

*mind = blown*
