Rats running a maze for a piece of cheese is a well-worn idea, but how many people have seen a zombie run a maze for a villager? Sethbling has, because he made one!

This particular maze is remarkable not simply for the zombie running a complicated gauntlet for a prize, but the sheer size and depth of it. Altering the zombie's detection/pursuit range allows for an incredibly fast puzzle-solving zombie. Check it out!

I have actually started making a tower defense game because I wanted something fun to do in minecraft and I quickly found out that you need to know a lot more than this to make a tower defense map. The principal problem is not the zombie tracking, in fact most of the zombies were doing this before I increased their follow range, with a default of 40 blocks it is high as it is. The main problem is placing custom towers anywhere on the map. I recently solved that problem and will continue working on the map, it is not easy but I think it will turn out well.

It seems they could solve this faster then he could...

I thought zombies where men't to be dumb. xD
I mean, they are kind of dead...

I didn't actually watch this, but yeah...
Does the zomb figure it out in 3 mins?

This is just awesome! This video let me remind a video about a tamed cat racing against a tamed wolf, who chasing their tamer on the air (Creative mode). There's also one thing you all should know, that tamed animals will only teleport to you when you are on the ground and leaving them far away. So he just flying and guide his two mobs to the correct direction in a obstacle course, it was really fun. But this video make me want to do a minigame!

Interesting! The zombie's inbuilt AI have increased a phenomenal amount compared to the alpha version. Good to see progress

umm.. what does tracking a villager have to do with making a pac-man minigame, or were you planning on having the villager be pac-man?

Test it with a Baby Zombie! Surely, it would solve the maze faster, unless the AI for a baby is derpy/different
