Time for this week's Snapshot, 13w24a! Comprised mainly of bugfixes, there are a few goodies - or, in the case of textures, laying the foundation for goodies - in store, however!
FEATURES:
- Removed Texture Pack support, added Resource Packs
- Added new gamerule for day-night cycle
- Things and stuff
BUGFIXES:
- Mobs spawn and then quickly despawn in peaceful. Looks like the "ender-porting-out-of-water" effect.
- You can't get "The End?" achievement
- Persistence required tag freezes mobs
- Squids taking damage while in water
- Hard to spawn Squids
- Scoreboard "health" objective set to display "belowname" disconnecting player on multiplayer with end of stream
- Lava texture animation moves too fast / Animated textures ignoring text files
WAIT, MY TEXTURE PACKS LOOK ALL BROKEN AND WRONG AND...:
Nope, there is a new texture system now in place, in preparation for the future of the Mod API!
Quote fromWe’ve been working really hard on the new Resource Pack system, and we think it’s at the point where we can finally push it live. This is a huge step forward for the future mod API and will replace texture packs.
Unfortunately, texture packs will no longer be supported but you can use this fancy tool to automatically convert them! Please report all issues about resource packs, and the snapshot in general, to our bug tracker!

Posted Jun 13, 2013They deleted my stone brick and placed it onto the cobble stone texture, so now I have a stone brick cobble and default stonebrick.
The minecarts are looking very wooky.

Added together and used with the other things in the update would then be considered "Stuff",
When you look at it as a hole it would then be considered a lot of Things and Stuff.
It's really very simple when you look at it.
Now that thing in the pic next to all that other stuff is apparently a Grum in his native troll form. I believe this in an attempt to scare off the Herobrine, known to lurk in places that have both Things and Stuff.
I could, however, be wrong.

After searching a lot and trying a lot of suggestion I realize that for some reason minecraftDev was using my integrated Intel Card instead of Nvidia.
You should check your Nvidia Configuration to make sure that that is the default graphic Card.
Check wich one is using your dxdiag

They have a converter tool, very easy to convert to a resource pack. Same thing as a texture pack, but now you can edit sound, language and the End Credits.

Posted Jun 13, 2013Wile I would love to keep this ball rolling, I think I should point out a few things.
#1 If it's an invisible spider...How does he know it's a spider?
#2 Snapshots have a lot of bugs (hay a totally unintended but wonderful pun), and they just changed the texture packs. When an in game object does not have a skin (or the game thinks it does not) it just adds the object but makes it invisible. My bet is that the poster who was joking about invisible spiders has a problem with his textures. Or it's a bug in the game.
#3 The update does not say "Remove Herobrine" so I think he is back and up to his old tricks.

Posted Jun 13, 2013Nope they want more things and stuff, but you can't change the other things and take away the other stuff, even if the new stuff replaces the old things and makes all the other things and stuff better.
They also want it perfect, and updated exactly when they think it should be updated.
Then when they don't get exactly what they want, they will cry and whine that life is not fair, and that everything (epically the things and stuff) is the worst things and stuffs ever.
NOTE: I think I made up a new word (stuffs), not sure....Must find dictionary, can someone google that for me. Too tired to do it myself.
