A lot of people have created items from Minecraft in real life, and today's video is no exception. Where it really stands out is the level of quality that went into creating a real-life, fully usable (and alarmingly sharp) Diamond Sword!

Okay, it's not made from real diamonds, but it's safe to say the durability of this sword is comparable to its in-game counterpart. Master swordsmith Tony Swatton - responsible for many of the prop swords you see in television shows and movies - took on the challenge of making the Minecraft diamond sword, and what he created is nothing shy of breath-taking. It works too; Tony takes his newly crafted sword out for a spin, showing off the sharpness of the sword by shearing apart a watermelon, smashing a pig, and...well, just see for yourself!

I wonder how long it took him to make it, probably less than the tears and caverns I go through to find diamonds to make this is minecraft!

It's a little small, more of a knife than a sword, but still awesome!

...now for a greater challenge. Make us a working ender pearl that actually teleports people.

This is simply fantastic, amazing finish with the blue.

You can't really piece together separate diamonds, so you would need to use a diamond big enough to make the whole sword. Needless to say you aren't going to find a diamond that big on earth. (Try one of the exoplanets made of diamonds).

You can pretty easily make a diamond edged blade, though.

That is more what i was talking about, maybe adding something to the melted iron or steel used in making the rest of the blade to turn it into a bright blue shade

I would've gone mad if it was actually made of diamond.
The thing about diamond is it is a crystal, and crystals have a structure, and even though diamond is the hardest naturally occurring mineral, there is no exception. If the structure is penetrated, the whole thing will be destroyed, and diamond armor would be really heavy. So would a sword, to make post actually related.

If we were playing the real life hunger games with district 12 and all that, the guy who actually
had that sword would totally win. (And in the minecraft hunger games too!)

I see people have been posting that they will not be surprised that a real diamond sword exist I was like o way because 1kg of diamond cost around 50 million dollars. Also I see people write about zombie apocalypse I think that is going to far but it is possible to use the sword in a riot. (Because zombie apocalypse is not real)

So if mojang sees this, we could get a new collectable, AND make swords cut through melon blocks faster.
(I NEED ONE OF THESE! But how would I get fire aspect on it?)
