To be honest, I don't like the idea of horses in Minecraft. Honestly, it actually makes more sense to keep pigs as the mounts in Minecraft. It's just that kind of game. Mojang added things that made Minecraft unique. Creepers. Endermen. Villagers that look like Squidward from Spongebob. It's quirks like that that make the game great. Let pigs for steeds be one of those quirks. If a Mojangster is reading this, then please, tell Jeb to reconsider adding horses. I think that they are something we don't need, and that a lot of people wouldn't like. My point is, updating Minecraft to slowly turn it into a game unlike the one we all know and love doesn't make it better.

OMG OMG OMG I can't believe their finally adding; new types of trees, water shaders, dynamic lighting, new types of plants, and an officially made REALISTIC TEXTURE PACK. Oh yeah there's also a horse.

I wonder how horses are going to look like and how soon they will be applied to XBOX 360. Hopefully we can ride them and hopefully they can be controlled.

When this comes out, I'll spend a lot of time with TP-style horseback archery...

Well, Horses wouldn't be bad if they are more than just a rideable mob. Such as the ability to attack with both the sword and bow. As well as store some items in the horse. But since a Horse wouldn't be the only thing, and since Mojang made it clear each update will focus on specific areas, I feel they should update villagers as well, make them programmable to do certain things, give us the ability to create working towns, or good RPG's without the need for several mods. I think adding more interaction by having hostile and friendly mobs that do more than just run around and over-charge us for stupid trades would give the game a lot of depth. This would also extend the life of Minecraft because we could create FULL RPG's and FULL adventure games with-in Minecraft. Let us hire Mobs to do certain tasks in certain area's. Let us form relationships with certain mobs that can offer benefits as well as hender what happens through an adventure or survival game.

BAD idea! We already have pigs that you can ride! Personally I think that we should get breed able alpacas/llamas that you use a rope to drag around with, like a leash. Like the Mayans did you should also be able to put at lest 2 small chests attached to the llama/alpaca. So instead of riding it you drag it around with your leash. Possibly can name it, and can have different kind of breeds.(like mo' creatures' horses)

Well, if they're adding horses, wouldn't that take away from the pigs we can now ride? In my opinion, I like pigs better, in that they have become a symbol for Minecraft and are much more original than horses.

Oh mo'creatures was brought in, then this will be good. MO'creatures creator has done amazing work for various animals. I hope so see many of their beasts incorperated. (Particularily sea creatures)

They will add a secret that you get access to when you install Mo' Animals/Creatures and you get a blonde girl to take care of your horse/unicorn!

I hope the horses are exactly like Mo'Creatures; Minecraft needs some mobs that are really complex and detailed like Mo'Creatures' horses. At the very least I hope they have randomized skins...

To everyone against horses because it would go against the "quirkiness" of Minecraft:
If everything is quirky, then the quirkiness would become less special. Also, grasszombiesskeletonsslimesdirtstoneironminingswordsbowsarenormalsothoseshouldberemoved.

well its obvious, like why would it be a tree in the back of the horse or why would it be the girl? We already have NPC villagers.(squidwards XD) Well we don't know if a villager is a boy or a girl. Ok back to subject. So what i mean is it has to be horses. Well lucky if you don't have horse mod. (more creatures) so yeah. HORSE

I'm not sure… It sure looks to me like they're adding falling trees.
