I can't place one block at a time. It never works.

I can't believe they went ahead and released this version with the stupid flying torch lights bug still there. That is going to get so annoying, so fast!

There are some nasty bugs here and there, but it's a whole lot better then 1.4.2 if you ask me. So as far as I'm concerned Mojang did a good job

Bug still not fixed = pictures can overlap each other..

This update just causes the game to be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY laggy. The mojang staff should add optifine into the official game :/

That is not Mojang's fault, your computer is not allowing Minecraft to install new files in Roaming. Try to find something in your security settings.

I don't know WHAT Mojang was smoking to think that the random torch particle bug was okay to put in the final version. The pre-release has been out for nearly a week, now, and you can't bother to fix a small bug that causes so much annoyance, worse enough, put it into the "finished" version? What type of business do you run, Mojang?

Man, i like the new disk a lot. Imagine if there was a way to incubate a enderdragon egg and grow it into your ridable pet!

I wasn't experiencing any bugs before 1.4.4, but now I've got this:
It reminds me of the Crazy Lamp Glitch from Assasin's Creed.

So far, I have noticed plenty new bugs. Constant crashes, iron is a different colour, floating torches, arrows are buggy, and much more. Not impressed.

I'm REALLY sorry I didn't make a backup copy of my Minecraft folder before I said 'yes' to the update.

I have a copy of my 1.3.2 version. Is there a way to update it to 1.4.2?

Thanks to this thread, and to Gavin Sallery's post, I'm past the Minecraft connection issue (the Single Player, "Open to LAN" feature). On the machine trying to connect, I needed to specify the IP address and the port number, as specified when I opened the LAN. Tonight, that was: 192.168.1.5:1153.

I second the motion.
I'm on a laggy computer, and I can only play in browser, so I can't even play minecraft. It just lags, and lags, and lags. then it freezes up and I crash.

Me and my friend play this game almost daily at his house on LAN since that option was available. It worked fine, but today we both updated and all of a sudden we both get connection errors and cant join the lan game from either my comp or his.

Hi all - on the Mac at least, there is a workaround. Simply find the IP address of the machine hosting the game (it's reported as 0.0.0.0, but that just means the server is listening on any address - use ifconfig in a terminal, or look it up in your network settings).
Then, in the other machines, do a "direct connect", specifying the real IP address of the host along with the port number it reported when starting up.
So, for example, if you open the game to LAN on a machine with IP address 192.168.0.203, Minecraft will report something like this:
0.0.0.0/57323
On the client machines, you can then do a direct connect to 192.168.0.203:57323
I hope this helps everyone else who's stuck with this frustrating bug - my kids were most annoyed until I worked this out!

Anyone else getting spawned in new worlds inside of dirt blocks or in deep water with an ice sheet above you? I just created 20 worlds to test and in 3 of them was in a position where I almost died or was simply stuck.
