Don't want to wait for 1.4 any longer? The official update isn't out yet, but you can try out the 1.4 pre-release, right now! It includes all the features from previous Snapshots, plus a few minor tweaks of it's own, so grab it now, and give it a go!

Kinda cool, one thing that's kinda meh though is the new sounds. I hope that Mojang will make an option for the old sounds, or maybe someone makes a way to get the old sounds. Other than that, pretty cool!

The Wither is just absolute nightmare fuel with the new sounds! And I also wish curing infected villagers did not take forever and a day.

Sensei: bad news. Do not download
Apprentice: Why not?
Sensei: Waste too much time. Better spent watching YouTube
Apprentice: I hate YouTube, besides it would take longer to wait for the update.
Sensei: do not do the hate on YouTube, else bad karma and dislikes shall befall you. Besides, I have discovered the secret of time travel!
Apprentice: Really! How?
Sensei: knock self unconscious, wake up in future.
Apprentice: Ok.... I'm just going to download the pre-release...
Sensei: you cannot do that.
Apprentice: why?
Sensei: put virus on your computer
Apprentice: What?! Ok fine... I can just fix it anyways...
Sensei: Can't fix anymore. Computer met unfortunate fate in duel against speeding cement truck
Apprentice: I have a laptop.
Sensei: HAD a laptop. Now sold on eBay
Apprentice: Mac?
Sensei: went on late night date with pool of molten lead
Apprentice: ...
Sensei: do you now wish to learn secrets of time travel?
Apprentice: No. I'm just leaving now.

And the moral of that completely useless story is: Never download pre releases, time travel is better.

I never download these snapshot thingies.

I'm loving the Pre-Release so far, but, has anyone else had trouble with not being able to see their custom skin? Currently, my skin is reset to the default even AFTER I changed it TWICE. So, only one bone to pick but a rather large one.

Oddly enough, I had that issue with 1.3.2.
And then I logged in one day and my skin reset back from the default 'Steve' to my custom one.

The update could do better, it takes so long to generate a new world, and sometimes, world generation crashes Minecraft.

seems good, had fun messing around with the invisibility potions with friends. Looking especially forward to the mod api though as well as adventure mode/maps.

I have noticed that most modders are busy with school and work and need almost 3-4 weeks sometimes to update a mod. This idea of a pre-release is great, but it would make sense to extend the releases between the pre and full...

I am still waiting for mods to be updated to 1.3.2. I am a bit ticked off that MOD API has been pushed back a few releases... but i am sure there is a good reason.
