The problem with a failure to give credit for their work is that it may even be considered a violation of copyright. That would be something for a bunch of lawyers to take up, but there is a reason why you see a huge list of credits at the end of most motion pictures as anybody who has helped to get the movie made, no matter how insignificant, is usually listed (unless they have explicitly requested that their name be removed from the credits. Besides, it is very cheap to add somebody's name to a list of credits (which already exists in the game anyway)... being just a few characters in a text file. Acknowledging that something like Minecraft is a collaboration of a whole bunch of really talented people is also just plain class.

I have had creative works of mine taken from me without so much as even a minor acknowledgement by others and used in prominent places. For many people who are reading this, you've likely seen some of my work but were completely unaware that it was my stuff you were looking at. I find that to be unfortunate and sadly a rather common practice in the computer industry even though other kinds of creative arts usually do at least acknowledge those who contributed to the creative work. This is such a little thing, and Mojang is already so classy and this is something so minor in terms of effort to earn some extra "karma" in life in terms of goodwill from the community that I can't see why it isn't done more.

The complainers have come creeping out of the woodwork again, as they will for the next snapshot, the one after that, etc.

Seriously, stop cluttering the forums with your spam.

wait, so you can WEAR the heads? This could be fun to toy with. Mix and match critters like zombie-creepers by having a zombie wear a creeper helmet. stuff like that.

Update: I love all these new features.

1.4 will come out around Halloween and serve as the major Halloween update 2012 for Minecraft. So far it looks really cool, especially the new Wither boss and masks to wear as if you were to go trick or treating. Cannot wait to see what else they will implement before Halloween, which is a really long ways away

People say that theres no point in the riding pig feature, because how slow it is, but I have something to say:

This helps. If you wanna go on a long trip in minecraft and want to browse the internet or do anything else at the same time, just get on the pig, face the direction, and open your inventory, auto transport!

do a far away adventure and some will spawn in the newly generated mountain biomes
