Mojang has been busy at PAX all weekend, and we have been bringing you some pretty awesome updates on all things Minecraft going on there. So, what's going on today, you ask? EvilSeph has reminded us that there is a Minecraft Panel going on today, at 4:30 pm, PST! Be sure to check out the panel - if you're not at PAX today, you can watch it live, on the PAX Twitch channel - click here to check it out!
Not enough Minecraft to whet your appetite? How about this: Notch has announced that Minecraft's "Adventure Update" will be playable on the show floor! The expansion, which is currently heavily in development, will add more than 40 new features in the sandbox blockbuster, such as NPC villages, additional farming activities, and randomly-generated dungeons!
Keep an eye out for more updates to Minecraft, PAX and more, right here!

Notch's Beard is At Stake!
Speaking of awesome things related to Penny Arcade; a few weeks ago, QubeTubers hosted a popular charity event, which was frequented by nearly every major Minecraft personality in existence, including a number of Mojangsters! The drive is still going on through today, and has cleared an impressive $70,000 in donations for the Child's Play charity! However, there is an extra prize for clearing that $75,000 mark:
Notch will shave his beard.
That's right - if the QubeTuber's Charity Event clears $75,000 before the event ends, Notch will shave his beard off.
So, if you want to help out the most awesome children's charity ever AND see Notch sans beard, be sure to head over to the QubeTuber's Child's Play Charity Event - there's less than $5,000 to go for a beardless Notch, and countless children will see the benefit of your generosity. Check it out!
I just wonder how the xbox community will receive the Adventure Update. I want to see how mad they'll get.
Next thing you know, you people will want rotary phones and 8-track tapes.
Again, if there are mods that do what you want, then there is no reason to change it in vanilla, and the more you guys complain about it, the less likely it is that jeb will change anything at all. He's already proven to be quite stubborn, and the tactics some of these people use to persuade him, just **** him off.
Nice complaint thread you've got there, btw, I don't understand how it has been alive that long without being locked, there is nothing but whining and grumbling on it. Not one constructive thought on there, just hate and butthurt.
Didn't know that opinions with proof that almost count as facts are hate and butthurt.
Edit: Going to stop arguing here because there is no point. All the opposing side has to say is "u butthurt l0l" or "git a mod l0l"
Ah, there you go, it's MY opinion that you and your 2000+ followers are just hating on Mojang for not bending to your will. I even saw suggestions that Jeb should be fired, and I would be willing to bet someone said some pretty ugly things about Notch in there too, because that's the kind of people you are, so don't tell me it's all rainbows and unicorns in there.
You called me a Mojang fanboy earlier, and I do believe I am. They have created a fantastic game that is more or less enjoyed the way it is by millions of people. If you hate them that much, then why don't you just leave the game and go play something else? I get so tired of all the negativity towards them and Minecraft, and reading some of your posts, that's all you're about, you seem to be obsessed with getting the terrain changed. Give it a rest.
Have a nice day.
When I am critical of Mojang, it is because I think they could be doing better and try to speak my mind about how they could be doing better and giving specific examples. Generally speaking, Mojang has been pretty honest to their customers and tend to be responsive to widespread questions being raised by people within the community. Certainly compared to other game communities, I have a huge amount of respect for Mojang. I've been on the Zynga forums before (to give an example), and the moderators themselves openly mock that company on their official forums for their games and make fun of the lack of communications between the company and the fans (much less the moderators themselves as well). It could certainly be a lot worse.
