________________
It's getting really close to 1.3 release time, checking that everything runs as expected is exceptionally important. Mojang's plan is to release one or two snapshots, and then the 1.3 pre-release by Wednesday or Thursday. The pre-release is intended to be identical to the official release next week, in order to give modmakers and server admins a week’s head start. This is why Mojang needs to do a snapshot first, since they can’t do changes to the update after the pre-release is out.
This snapshot consists of all the bugfixes that Nathan (@dinnerbone) and Eric (@_grum) have been working on the last two weeks. Get it here:

A big thanks to redstonehelper for his help in compiling the list!
I hope I can make my spare change into pickaxes too. Unfortunately, it's for buying stuff, not for swords.
Craftable for me.
I have a probleme with lever, some time I can't right clic on them to activate my redstone circuit. When I do, nothing happen.
I've yet to experience this bug, Is this in SMP or SSP? Or maybe it doesn't even matter.
I put down the SSP bug
Edit: Only seems to happen on seed ???
You're right. They won't add in emerald tools.
I use to get 10 fps on tiny render, now I get 50 on SHORT! 30 on Normal, and 10-20 on Far
They said they'd stop the WEEKLY snapshots. This is more of a final snapshot to make sure next week's release candidate is EXTREMELY LIKELY to be the final release.
Yeah I had my settings at fancy/far because I was testing OceanBlock 3.0 (and when you're in an endless ocean, you get good framerates no matter what) and I loaded up a new world to test a bug I'd reported, and that new world had a decent framerate. Is it possible, I'll be able to walk through forests with *GASP* transparent leaves?
Kept testing until I got a the 15 chunk world hole again, apparently if a creeper kills you and you get stuck in the air (hard difficulty) it causes it, it doesn't matter if it blows up redstone dust or not. This is only tested in SSP
picture on a newworld (also shows how hard tested it was)
Edit: Sems like /kill gets rid of the 16th chunk
