Features:
- You can now use “/publish” to open your single-player game for LAN friends to join. This is still very much work in progress, so it lacks some necessary settings such as what game mode your friends will get, and if they should be able to use cheats or not. Also, the “/publish” command is temporary, you can’t even access it if you haven’t enabled cheats =)
- The Ender Chest has been changed to have an inventory per player and not per world. Also, knocking down the chest will break it into 8 obsidian, unless you have Silk Touch.
- The texture pack folder button now works on Mac
Fixes:
- Fixed bug when Minecraft doesn't save your progress, stops generating chunks and freezes all the mobs.
- Fixed the Enderdragon not dealing any damage to the player after it has been hit once
- Fixed explosions not pushing back players
- Fixed buckets not picking up or placing water within the spawn protection

Desert Villagers??
Because a world-wide server would require port-forwarding which is a pain in the butt for anyone who doesn't already know how to do it.
That would be GREAT.
Probably to prevent people from making the Ender Chest too easily every single time, considering how they keep items safe from anything. They are more of an emergency storage rather than place all your items in it and drag them anywhere you want and remove the need for a home base.
Un Zip it? Then you take the .jar, and drop it by the real .jar.
You, my friend, are SLOW.
Great idea and all, but how would what work on dedicated servers? That would make it VERY easy to steal things from one-another on a competitive server. Now, we each have a private chest which only we can see the contents of, and even if someone else looks in there, they only see what they put in before.

I'm recording my adventures btw. Uploading episode 8 later today after editing. Link in my signature.
The chest has a very limited number of slots, so packing around a whole base is hardly an issue. Having the materials for crafting the minimum requires 2 chests to make use of the feature is already a difficult task, and having the chests break into items rather then the chest itself is a huge blow to the whole mechanic.
People will always abuse things, so its stupid to castrate those that don't just because some people do.
Snapshots are for testing. So if you have no desire to test, then they are not for you. simple as that.
