Mojang also had the following to add regarding installation of Snapshots:
Quote fromThe snapshots can potentially destroy your save games, even though we try our best not to do that. Only use them if you know what you are doing. To “install” a snapshot, you download the JAR file and replace the one located in your “application data” folder. The easiest way to find that folder is to start the game, select “texture packs” and click on the “open texture pack folder” button. It will locate “.minecraft/texturepacks”, and the JAR file should be placed in “.minecraft/bin”.
To UNINSTALL the snapshot, start the launcher (Minecraft.exe on Windows) and click the “options” button. Then click on “force update” and login as usual. The launcher will then download the official JAR file for you. Note that save games created in the snapshot may not work (and probably doesn’t) in the official version of the game.
I agree!
Good post!
Thats part of the game. And, when you get a good enchant, youre super stoked. It makes the GOOD items, EVEN BETTER and more valued.... Why is that being missed????
Taking away level 50 is just plain out STUPID!
30 is an amazing number. Not too high, but not to low. I like it! Also it is a linear leveling, so that the amount that you need doesn't increase every level. They are trying to make enchanting easier too which is nice because I like enchanting!
Good patch!
When I sign books, then click Cancel, then edit them and then click Sign again, it doesn't show me the Sign dialog!
Also with the adventure theme: can you add biome edits, conditional weather, and villager interface customization? Also: INTEGRATE OPTIFINE (+ work on its bugfixes) PLZ! It has a lot of great enhancements...try to integrate it into the rendering/texturing code! (What's with all the LAG?!)
Fix the 'give' command so that you can search for item names!
Add spawners, end portals, silverfish stone, etc. to the Creative menu...we could use those for survival/adventure maps!
Major lag when I pressed 'Quit Game'
Helps.
What internet browser are you using? IE is known to mess up download files, chrome or firefox may be a better idea.
-Mining iron does not give exp but smelting it does.
-Friendly mobs no longer have the ability to push players around (confirmed with pig)
--Need to see if cows sheep and chickens have been tweaked in the same way or not.
-Creepers appear to have had the distance required at which their timer resets increased.
second of all adventuremode, ok wtf i fell into a hole and got stuck
i like the new enchanting a lot its amazing keep it!
also i like the new ore exp drop great for us dwarves!
Also, animals (like cows for instance) don't collide with each other. I was trying to feed some cows and they were overlapping each other occupying the same space (making it difficult to feed them). Furthermore I noticed that with several cows penned in with fences they can pass through the fence if they're pushing on it. Haven't tried this with any other animals yet.
Shouldn't you get exp for mining obsidian? Maybe not, but it's harder to obtain than coal.
There seems to be some kind of bug though it's hard to describe. When mining sometimes there will be a slight lag, then the blocks in front of me that I was mining reappear as if I hadn't mined them. I was branch mining through stone when this happened a few times. Kinda weird..
You only get experience for things you can't do over and over with the same block. You can mine Obsidian (and Iron and Gold), plop the block back down, and mine it again. They don't want that.
What do you mean?
