Second Snapshot of the Week Released
Yesterday saw the release of the 12w21a Snapshot, which included a number of neat features - unfortunately, it also included a few bugs that made playing SSP nearly impossible for some. Now, in a move not common with Snapshots, a quick-fix has been released for those having trouble playing Single-Player. There's also some other goodies inside - most notably, a surprise with the Creative Mode inventory menu (Thanks Dinnerbone!). Get the latest Snapshot downloads below!

MCX360 Breaks Record, Beats Black Ops
MCX360 has been climbing the charts since launch, breaking records and drawing in more players every day. Recently, it broke another unprecedented record - pushing COD: Black Ops out of the #2 Top LIVE Games spot! Since the launch of Modern Warfare 3, COD: Black Ops has held the #2 Top Game spot for XBox Live constantly.
MW3 and COD:BO have been staples of the XBOX library since launch, and despite some criticisms have maintained their hold as top titles nearly since they launched. Minecraft is the first game to disrupt these titles' seemingly endless reign on the Top XBox Live Games chart. Congrats, Minecraft!

This Week's News Video - Pyramids, Villager Trading & More
This week, David & Toby take an in-depth look at our recent Snapshots, and more - take a look!
No, it was actual dirt. I had to go and clean it up and re-build my farm every time it happened.
Second of all, does this have local SMP or normal SMP? BECAUSE IT BETTER NOT HAVE LOCAL SMP!
minecraft has come a very long way since i started playing it, and i still enjoy seeing what new things will come with it.
but unfortunately i don't own an xbox and never have, and this is one of the only times i regret not having one. the other time was afterr getting ps3 skyrim, talk about glitch fest.
-Try trading with a villager while NOT having a full hunger bar, and having food in your hand. You will eat the food while you are trading
And my feedback
-I think it is unbalanced to have the villagers "learn new trades" only AFTER you trade with the last item they have. It makes it unfair. Let's imagine you have two wizard dudes. Each of them has learned 3 trades so far. One of their first trades are enchantment bottles (at the optimal trade ratio), the other's first trade is something else but has enchantment bottles as their last trade. If you only want to get enchantment bottles then you are better off trading with the first villager because he will always offer you at the same rate. If you trade with the second villager (who has bottle of enchant as his last trade), there is a chance he will generate a new trade that will raise the price of the bottle of enchant. And so one of the villagers is more useful than the other over infinite time. I think this is unintentional and unfair. To fix this, I think each trade you do should have a 1 in X chance of triggering the villager to learn a new trade (which could overwrite a previous skill), where X is the current number of skills.
Your not the only one. (oldfag here)
That was the first game that I got on my first compiter. Had to get the special massive custom joystick/comtroller as well.
Almost nothing beats Mechwarrior. (I reapeat Almost) imo
Now Minecraft takes up all my free time ..... that and porn, lol.
I can't wait 'til a more stable snapshot or the actual update. I have too much stuff in my worlds for me to screw it up at this point.
Edit:Lol, I just found a pyramid and the ONLY treasure happens too be... Rotten flesh and bones!
Learn 1 learn all
Modding api is bothering 1.3...
wait untill modding api is done
then you'll get your 1.3
I used to play Skyrim......
but then I took an arrow to the knee.
Whut, you thought I could just let that lie there?
Not really unfamiliar with other vidya games, Minecraft is just my current addiction. (for the last year or two)
Been playing home vidya games since Pong was on the Atari system. (should have said REALLY oldfag here)
I think Minecraft has a universal appeal because its continuously evolving, has a variety of skins and mods, and you don't have to buy 'points' to keep building or get new stuff to add to it. Plus when was the last game this good that provided the ability for everyone playing to have so much input on the games development.
Not to mention you can rule the villigers like gods.....................angry gods!
lol
