Some points of interest discovered already:
- Possible TNT traps in the world
- Ender Chest (Sort of like a chest network - place two different Ender Chests and place items in either, and they will appear in any other Ender Chests you have placed. It glows a bit.)
- Emerald and Emerald Ore (used with Villagers)
- Made Buckets stackable.
- Added Snow to Creative Inventory.
- NPC Villages change style according to their biome.
- Stars are more realistic.
- They are now slightly smaller and slightly brighter.
- Changed Gravel texture.
- Improved Options menu.
- Added Pyramids.
- Added a second Golden Apple made with Blocks of Gold. After being consumed, the player receives 30 second Regeneration IV, plus Resistance and Fire Resistance for 5 minutes.
- Dispensers will eject Water and Lava source blocks (from buckets); Will also take water and lava source blocks if there is an empty bucket inside
Of course, with any update there's always a few bugs - some of the most relevant ones are listed below (take note of "old world corruption in particular!):
- Emerald Ore has the wrong texture.
- Loading a world from a previous version corrupts it.
- Generated structures are very buggy.
- New Golden Apple does not appear in the creative mode inventory screen.
- Villager Trading for items worth more than one emerald doesn't work if you place the emeralds one by one.
- When removing the last Ender Chest, no items are ejected, and you must place a new one to retrieve the items. (may not be a bug)
- Single player still thinks it requires server/minecraft_server.jar. A blank file with the same name can be used.
- When generating a superflat world, you will get chunk errors - there will be some chunks generated in default, and the other are generated in superflat.
- Stacked buckets don't pick up fluids. Instead, the fluid just disappears.
I was in creative mode, and tried to build a fort out of bedrock in The Nether to make a garden in. (Don't bother asking why, I just wanted to)
Then I realized I couldn't place water in The Nether, even with ice...so I decided to blow it up, and just make a NORMAL garden in the over-world. (I like being different)
I didn't think that through either, it wasn't until I lit the TNT Bare in mind there was a LOT of TNT in that room, almost enough to fill it. I dropped FPS rate significantly, and head the TNT go off...all at once, it sounded like. And when the smoke cleared, not ONE of the blocks I'd placed was still standing. My portal wasn't wasn't even there anymore. And I don't mean the explosion knocked out the portal part out, I mean the obsidian it's self was gone.
Do not know yet if this was a bug, or if Jeb has intentionally made it so you can blow up obsidian, and bedrock.
*facepalm*
noise lol, youre totally right, that is what it looked like, how can anyone have ever liked that? New gravel is really nice
Why? They can't do anything about it.
Um...you've been able to do that for a while. Item Repair.
i did this and dug down after the last step and found a strong hold!
Or is this something I did wrong?
also the gravel is... well... as one of my friends stated "It looks like its from a bad texture pack"
but those are my only two gripes about this snapshot!
everything else is FANTASTIC! Finally TRADING WITH VILLAGERS - And I like the progressiveness of the trading too. probably something you did wrong. try starting from a blank minecraft folder (SAVE YOUR TEXTURE PACKS AND WORLDS)
