Shift-Clicking is holding shift, clicking on an item, and it will automatically be added to any storage item such as a chest, furnace, or dispenser.

If you're on windows goto your %appdata%, then goto .minecraft and right click bin.
When you right click bin goto Properties (Last option on right click) and you'll see 5 tabs, goto Previous Versions and pick one
