Let us know what you find! Here's a screenshot Jon provided of the new mob, the Iron Golem:
This was there in 1.0....
They are normal stairs , but if you are looking upwards , they will point upside & the way you are facing.
That's a explanation for you :tongue.gif:
Wtf is that thing?
Jungle Biomes?
Ocelots?
Reasons for raiding villages now instead of just for wheat and shelter?
I think it's pretty useful for me.
I am sorry but 2 ores in a game called "mine"craft is not "sufficient ." There isn't even copper which is a far more common metal. And I'd rather there be some upper level ones, maybe even one in the Nether which would give more of a reason to go there besides getting resources for potions. Let's have ores with special properties above diamond since one of the games strong focuses is "mining".
Everything else I agree with. 1.2 will be awesome and I can wait for another release for more ores. But let's not pretend that iron and gold (two) are enough. If you want to count the two gems (1 of which is pretty much decorative (Lapis) and the other represents the ONLY end game tool option that have been available forever then you have 4. redstone and coal to the mix and you have 6. But really that is a stretch.
More variety will keep this game growing and interesting.
I do wish that the villagers would get a use though, they have a blacksmith who doesn't even smith. If they can get it so you can trade with the villagers, perhaps gems can be added to make mining more interesting, possibly some decorative items for furnishing your house using them.
They should also add a few more ores and stuff... Because they're concentrating way too much on the villages and not mining and caves. Blacksmiths should actually do something, so should the priests, librarians and etc.. And new testificate skins, they just look stupid they should just be default skin but edited a bit according to their roles.
Overall, its all good.

I was flying in creative mode on a superflat map and found a village so I went to explore and check out the new mob. While spawning zombies and stuff for one to kill I flew away to see more of the village when I saw from a birds eye view a Iron Golem with it's right hand stretched out in front of it like it's giving someone something and the only thing around it was kid and adult villagers. I flew down and saw a red flower in the golem's hand, like what it drops. After about 10 seconds it put the flower away, let down it's outstretched hand to be by it's side and waddled off like normal.
Maybe it's a hint for them to mate/reproduce later, like one bribes another Iron Golem with a flower then they......do it. I don't know but I found this behavior interesting and funny.
Agreed.
I saw then as monks. Guess I'm completely wrong.
So, lot's of people already reported it.
Suggestions: They should be re-skinned so their skin is more metallic, tho the vines are cool.
They should have pumpkins for heads. That's the way their crafted, that's the way they should look.
I'm okay with the uppercut, but the mobs they hit should fly farther.
Ones in villages should patrol properly, not just wander around,
and the ones you craft should follow and protect you or stand still and guard an area if you give them a flower or something.
