Quote fromWe're happy to announce that the Minecraft project on LEGO CUUSOO has passed the LEGO review and we are now developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and in Minecraft. We can’t wait to show it to you—but it isn't ready just yet. These things take time, so we appreciate your patience. More details are to come.
It is expected that the first sets will be revealed in the near future. What kind of Minecraft projects do you think would be best in LEGO? Tell us below!

Check out this week's installment of the Curse Weekly Updates, with news about Minecraft, SWTOR, D3 and more!
Anyway, it'll be pretty cool to see what they've come up with. I'd love to see a creeper minifigure!

Because I would love to play with digitized LEGOS converted into...real LEGOS.
No seriously, when I explain to strangers what Minecraft is all about, I say "It's like LEGOs, you enter a world made of LEGOS and have to make food and shelter out of these LEGOS. Except every night, the LEGO monsters come out and try to eat you."
Just think about it. Redstone is a source of infinite energy. Impossible. And pistons wouldn't work. Think about it: can you just push a lego piece over once it is snapped down? Nope. And they are powered by redstone, which as I've said won't work.
I am glad to see the project went through. Really it's such an obvious cross promotion product that I'm surprised it took this long. I'm not sure what they can make that hasn't already been made out of legos... But it will be nice to see their version of some mobs, like creepers and endermen, that aren't already part of the lego line. Lava and water tiles will be fun too. As well as some sort of working restone tile.
Lego, you get a notch
Minecraft is the greatest game of all time.
This is awesome! I'd like to see Steve-shaped minifigures...
