Minecraft™ LEGO® CUUSOO Project Passes LEGO Review

It wasn't long ago that the LEGO® CUUSOO project received overwhelming support from the Minecraft playerbase, and LEGO® heard you loud and clear. At that time, they agreed to move Minecraft-themed LEGO® projects into the review phase, where it would be decided if it would be a workable product. Now, that wait is over! The team had this to say on the subject:

We're happy to announce that the Minecraft project on LEGO CUUSOO has passed the LEGO review and we are now developing a concept that celebrates the best aspects of building with the LEGO system and in Minecraft. We can’t wait to show it to you—but it isn't ready just yet. These things take time, so we appreciate your patience. More details are to come.

It is expected that the first sets will be revealed in the near future. What kind of Minecraft projects do you think would be best in LEGO? Tell us below!

This is great! I have not been looking into this but it would be awesome if people could post ideas for sets. Such as a forum topic where we could post pictures and specs and then get the ideas sent to Mojang.

I would suggest magnets on the sides of the blocks so they would stick better without having ugly snap-together parts but most toy companies don't like small magnets around children...

as everybody else has said, a large Ender Dragon model is a must have, I mean, it's the final boss.

and, Apply_pie, there are longer lego bricks which could be used to make hanging structures and things.

Unless you havn't noticed, the majority of Minecraft players are 10 to 12.
So Minecraft is a kids toy/franchise already.

I would disagree with the majority of players being in that age group. I'd say half at most of players are that young, because honestly the only reason you think they're mostly in that age group is because people in that age group are usually the most active on forums and playing the game. I know lots of people around my age who play, but like me, only go on every now and again, and don't make it a addiction.

Awesome! ima hoping for NPC villages and Dungeon sets. There will definitely be an enderdragon set for $250 at the nearby toys r us by fall this year, i'm hoping. Also, lotsa publicity for Minecraft will come from these sets. Still, the one thing I wanna see is my own skin in LEGO.
