We had a chance to check out the 360-based Minecraft, and it is incredible! We've got a few preview shots for you here; be sure to check back in frequently for more!
Oh jeez, please all u ps3 guys stop crying. I had an ps3 for 5 years but it got the Yellow light of death. So I bought the xBox 360 Slim, and to be honest, the system AMAZED ME! Really, ps3 might be capable of 2% better graphics, but, I dont want to have a japanese thingmabob in my house that stores personal info (credit card info, etc.) without encryption and those japanese people dont even tell us if their system is hacked or not. As far as you know, it has gotten hacked more times than you know, and Sony hides behind this message: Playstation Network is currently under maintenance, please try again later. Oh, and did I meantion this?:An error occured. You have been logged of Playstation Network, and loong update times, loong maintenance times and uber long download times?..
A whole lot of what is being said, is that they should make the XBox just like a PC so when you are playing on the XBox you can't tell the difference. I'll be honest, there's definitely times I've wished I had a real keyboard on XBox, but I have survived. Minecraft will reach a larger client-base this way, but the best Minecraft experience will always be on the PC. I'm hosting my own server for me and some friends. It's running off a 4GB ramdisk, using the CraftBukkit API and roughly a dozen plugins to enhance the game's functionality. If there's something I wish was a little different, I download a plugin for it and it's changed. XBox will never be able to do that. If they add Kinect compatibility, I would be tempted, because I would play it when I had friends over. Also, if I could connect to my server on my PC I may spend the money on it. Let's face it, all it's got that's better is that crafting screen, and some 12 year-old kid is probably making a mod for the PC game right now!
By the way, someone mentioned they couldn't wait for the XBox version because of the horrible FPS. I'm not sure what decade your computer is from, but mine's a couple years old, running a Minecraft server, recording live TV all day long and I play on the same one and average over 200FPS. I don't think the XBox is going to run 200FPS.
And I also have it on my 47" flatscreen, and I do lie back on the couch and play. If you're on PC, stick with it.
I want o by this now :tongue.gif: Im going to cut my neck if i dont get this game right nowwaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh My neck ****!
[Dead] Pigtoy im now an angel in the year 2013 OMG no Minecraft is OLD!O **** a man with a knife is running at me. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. [Dead][Dead] pigtoy i think i leearnt my leason. [Assasion] Noone Says minecraft is old. *****!
It looks good and there won't be any lag but I still think that I would rather play it on pc. Because then you can do lots of things at once, and it is easier to mod. Still looks cool though.

All aside from the PS3 - Xbox 360 debate, which was pointless. This does peak my interest, and I for one am going to support Mojang. I'll be purchasing Minecraft for my Xbox 360 upon release, and will still continue to play Minecraft on my PC. Honestly, it's just another great excuse for me to play Minecraft anywhere I go.
I'm sure someone will make a MOD of the xbox on PC x) Like the GUI of the Xbox, if you have Xbox controller you can see the Buttons on screen and use the controller ( like I do with Xpadder) and etc :3
What Mojang should do is make it so that you can play multiplayer servers from any version of minecraft, that way you can play the computer version against a friend with the x-box version.
Wow Mojang, way to release it for one of the lowest graphically capable gaming systems out there. Even on HDMI it will look like crap, PS3 should have been the way to go. I wonder why Mojang even took the "bribe" from microsoft when they would have made tons more money. The Xbox system is vulnerable to piracy, compared to PS3 which is ahrder to hack and pirate games. I know tons of people that would have bought this as soon as it came to PS3. I just hope Mojang will accommodate ALL minecrafters.
you know what sony should stick to making what they make best aka Home entertainment system such as TV's, Music Systems
and not ripping off other gaming systems like the xbox was the first gaming console to have an internal HDD and sony stole that idea for the ps3
Hes got a point, PS3 has had more trouble with there crap in the past few years than Xbox has ever
actually that is a myth, Xbox has been breached on numerous occasions, but there was a loop hole stating they could withhold their company information.

you have no idea exactly how big Sony is, they don't just make your TV's you will find Sony chips in anything from CCTV to multi million dollar movie productions, without any of their products we would not be able to enjoy HD as we know it today.
Honestly all of this animosity over what console is better has led me to believe everyone here has a small penis. even the women!

Not exactly. The PS2 had an internal HDD long before the original Xbox was released.
Also, as far as the console war goes, you're both pathetic for being sucked into something so childish.

IDEA, Mojang should--- no wait. Some modders should find a way to connect data from the Xbox servers to PC servers... Nevermind. Too much coding, infact, it probably isnt possible.
USB Flash Drive. Simple as that. Microsoft allows you to store games on your flashdrives, so you save minecraft on it, and then mod the files on your pc.
Ignoring the idiot fanboys; this looks pretty awesome. I'm surprised at how well it actually looks and handles (according to people who've played it).
What I'm wondering though, is:
1. What is the max height/depth? Does it still use the chunk system (if so, are chunks still 16x16x128)?
2. Will there be Creative and Adventure modes eventually?
3. Will the 1.8 lighting engine be added?
4. Ability to transfer maps?
Anyone have some answers? :mellow.gif:
2. Most likely
4. Possibly Via USB
** My questions:
1. What about skins?
2. I have the Minecon Avatar Cape, with that effect anything within game?
3. 1,600 MSP or 1,200 MSP?
4. Why are PS3 fanboys so arrogant?
5. Will there be support for sending Messages within multiplayer?
6. Can we host a server directly on the xbox? or will we need a server client downloaded on a pc?
7. Will there be Capes?

Xbox got hacked once and they payed the hackers to stop hacking them and make it impossible to hack. You do not have to buy the game for Xbox if you have it for PC but you will have to get Xbox live, the way it works is you go to games marketplace and search for Minecraft and when you find it download out and you can play it then login on your PC Minecraft account, but you can not play it yet.

Winning! Sony Fails. There is reason why their online is free.
He is joking, right?
You do realize, those games will become completely DEAD once Minecraft comes out, right?
