i am happy that minecraft is finally coming out soon and some where i heard that after november 18 notch will end the code freeze and start adding new stuff to minecraft agin i hope what i heard is true.

i find it cool and it demonstrates how Mojang, specially notch and jeb, want to give us a game as smooth and bug-free as possible but i stil think they should'0ve given us a stable release and make the 1.10 the official one

wolves,enchanting,potions and how we hold the bow in 1.9 glad this exsist its so many new things like mods and patchs and plugins its can never been completed, one thing i love it.

It's a TEMPORARY freeze, people. Minecraft 1.0 (not Alpha, not Beta, just Minecraft) is coming in a month, and Notch and his team have said from the beginning that they plan on continuing to update long after live release. Why else do you think there was that whole kerfuffle over "Alpha buyers get all future updates free, but Beta buyers are only guaranteed bugfix and necessary/required updates free"?

No 1.9 will not be released at minecon. Minecraft v1 will be. The game will go live on then

you know maybe this means mojang will begin the next phase of minecraft. Beta may be ending but whatever the next development phase is, they are almost for sure going to continue updateing after the release. Maybe it'll be 'postdev' development version or something like that. Minecraft has a lot of stuff coded in that hasnt been implamented yet and that stuff is there for a reason. Besides, notch has said loads of stuff he wants to add in the past that he hasnt done yet. Like pigmen, or 'more sophiscated' villagers, or dragons and such.

i must say my favorite addition was a few things. i was practically celebrating when they added the different saplings. i love the new nether stuff plus enchanting and potions, although the cauldrons were very nice...i also am a fan of all the food options. i liked the breeding too. but the coaster of this phase i think is ending.
such a shame. Makes me wish for 1.1_2 beta which was the version i bought so i could re-experiance this beta developement again. the beds and wool update, cake update, pistons update. But now the next big update is here. The adventure update is among us. Goodby-halloween update, helloooo adventure update.

I wonder if we will get 1.9 before Minecon. Im still playing 1.8, don't really want to test 1.9 but I really want the updates in 1.9

I only started in beta 1.4, but have really enjoyed the changes thus far. I especially like weapon enchanting. Going to be very cool!

does the code freeze include multiplayer? cuz i cant get onto any servers. And also, minecraft has changed so much, some of the changes i didn't even like, but i enjoyed it anyway.
