Notch has come a long way with dragons since their first mention - what was once a blank, grey creature has become something incredible. Sporting some incredible detail (including a serious upgrade to the wing design from the first model), flight and the apparent ability to destroy blocks that it flies through, the dragon will certainly make waves when it finally hits the game!

Posted Oct 13, 2011The Enderdragon will be a boss mob in the new THE ENDER (renamed to THE END) dimension. There will only be one, and again NOT IN THE MAIN WORLD.
And is anybody else thinking Enderman + Enderdragon = A possible Enderjockey?
It was just a thought that came to mind, but an Enderjockey would be pointless because only ONE will spawn.

Posted Oct 13, 2011Right because they didn't need to program an AI that takes terrain into account. They just gave it the ability to ignore terrain by destroying it.
Not that I don't think that it's quite nifty, but they've taken the easy way out by giving it a destructo-land to spawn in and claimed it's a feature. It annoys me because I know I would've done the same thing if I were rushing to "complete" it.

If you're trying to disprove my claims, it would be best that you don't provide support for my speculations. Though I do thank you for the help.
It's a placeholder means that it's not the real thing. It's a proof of concept. Notch is really quite good a proving concepts. He's not so good when it comes to delivery on implemented version. So what is preventing the real thing turning out to be a joke compared to this?
It flies smoothly because it doesn't have to worry about collisions is not a rumor, it's fact as Notch apparently stated that only the "boss" one will do this.
