Notch has come a long way with dragons since their first mention - what was once a blank, grey creature has become something incredible. Sporting some incredible detail (including a serious upgrade to the wing design from the first model), flight and the apparent ability to destroy blocks that it flies through, the dragon will certainly make waves when it finally hits the game!

Recent news also suggests that dragons will be SMP-compatible! A realm for the Endermen, dragons, enchantments and potions - what will come next? Check in often to find out!

Seems we now have a third griefer-mob for multiplayer. Endermen griefing is nerfed in WorldGuard 5.4 preview (dev build).

*Waits for sk89q to patch in WorldGuard*

-Sigh- Despite the fact that they were planned from the beginning, and highly requested (and surprisingly smooth), I'm not really looking forward to it. Modders, be prepared for requests to remove/nerf dragons, from the small part of the community who actually agrees somewhere along the lines with me... It will come, and your "solutions" are not adequate enough: (Please no "downgrade," "peaceful," or "creative," suggestions. Think about how they don't actually solve anything before you make a fool out of yourself).

they should add another dificulty, nightmare mode, and dragons should be able to spawn in the regular world in that mode.

I wonder how this will play out in the longer run worlds... Going to have to figure out a way to keep the spawn points intact (maybe, he he). I like the "destructiveness", but I question it's ability to dig so easily. After a few hours of it hanging around there may not be much of this new world left. Maybe just have it take out anything that isn't stone or harder (Cobblestone, Dirt, wood, water, ice, basically anything that naturally spawns above ground)? It would still allow for some forms of advancement in the world, just force it all underground (Reign of Fire anyone???) Just a thought, looks super freaking cool either way, and I'm sure we'll figure out a way of dealing with it, one way or another.... lol!!!

Guys! Minecraft is not RPG. Why notch added exp, hunger, enchating, potions etc. Minecraft sandbox to RPG?... Just why?

I hope you can tame them and bring them to the normal world. Maybe they'll turn white once tamed, and may not be able to destroy blocks unless you... make them shoot fire? 'Cos if you rode one right into your base...

Did anyone notice that the indents on the wings are round? Circles in Minecraft!? How can this be?
