Not long ago, we highlighted a Skyblock Challenge - it was deceptively difficult, in many ways; what first seemed like a mere collection of dirt blocks and a chest quickly became an addictive puzzle game, each challenge daring us to complete it. Sure enough, MrsBrisby took that challenge and ran with it! This video is MrsBrisby's completed challenge - everything built was done without Creative mode, editing tools or any outside help. I like the texture pack!
I know this is an older post, but really . . . put up or shut up - if you've seen better post them so we can see. . . else I find you to be a typical "hater"
Whether you start with Redstone or Obsidian in the Desert Chest the Nether is achievable! Obviously flint and steel are out of the question, but as for the Redstone you can use a modified Obsidain Generator to build one, or just use Obsidian. The real challenge is lighting it. You need a Lightning Rod (made of flammable material) that will carry fire all the way to the portal, and wait for it to light on its own.
It's tough, but I did it. THAT is the ultimate challenge. If u make a nether portal, you actually ESCAPE the island, which IS the ultimate goal...
EXAAACTLY! In fact, you can do almost anything here you can do in a regular survival game. Just, don't screw up.
