1.X Updates: Nether Brick?

Jeb recently uploaded an image of the Nether, with a very interesting addition to the usual block landscape - what appears to be netherrack brick! With 1.8 having brought a sizable number of new block types, the possibility of expanding the Nether even more is exciting indeed. Will the new brick be craftable? Will it be found in pre-existing structures, built by mysterious NPCs? Will it be neither of these things, yet something more exciting still? Keep an eye out!

Maybe if the picture wasn't tiny and best viewed at a screen resolution of around 1280x960 we might see it more easily. As it is, it's a very pixelaated and tiny picture making the structure blend in fairly well with the regular pixelated stuff (In terms of construction material)

If you look closely into the background you can see a large rectangular building. It's made of Nether brick

for those having trouble it is the grayish blob immediately above the group of three fires and is at the back of the cave if you are thinking of it in terms of the 3d space it is in. Kinda looks like a giant hell gate actually.

Hey Mojang, why do you update us with pointless things like bricks and expect us to get excited? Just because it's Minecraft? You should try harder with your updates and PR, it's a waste of time coming here.
