Jeb recently tweeted that 1.8 will most likely not be released tomorrow (9/13/11), but an update to the pre-release that's currently in circulation was highly likely. Mojang wants to make sure this release is the best it can be, and is continuing to squelch bugs even as they fine-tune the features.

Players who are still looking for bugs in the 1.8 should make sure to submit or update bugs they find here, so Mojang can facilitate a smooth transition to 1.8!

It may not be the real 1.8 but least they are choosing to update the leaked pre-release of 1.8 which is fine by me

Just Take your Time, work on your own pace and get the game done in best shape. Game Development doesn't take an instance ya know :dry.gif:

And I aid the idea of avoiding the posts of "Predicted Release Dates", It just moves those inpatient players of the game...

I cant understand all the anger on here. After all this is ONLY a BETA release not the actual release. Chill out guys - they will release it when they are good and ready.

Man... I bet they're working on Scrolls...
Maybe Mojang should stop working on that game and start concentrating on the game that made them rich and famous.

what is it with everyone wining that they dont get an update? who cares. you bought a beta game and even if they say the 8th, find more bugs from fixes and then asume the 12th, and still have too many bugs being reported, and THEN say its 'highly likely' that they will give an updated pre release on the 13th. why are you all complaining? there probably going to give an updated of what they've been working on. i dont think youd even want to find your first abandoned mine and have it fully destroyed because a ravine decided it was more important then your discovery. or the enderman somehow jump walls and kill you when you dont expect it. BE GLAD THEY RELEASED A PRE RELEASE AT ALL AND BE GLAD THAT THEY MAY GIVE A NEWER TWEAKED VERSION. i am. atleast it isnt half life 3 which Valve fails to do anything with, even though i think that game is an old pc game that i think is under designed by now a days.
