Notch posted a new screenshot of two new additions to the game! The first is quite apparent (the opened chest lid) - can you spot the second one?

I don't think that is actually a sand block in Steve's left hand, I think it's just sand that's a block higher then the rest of the sand around the chest.

Just tested it, chests DO face toward sunset in 1.7.3, no matter how you're oriented in relation to them.
If that is indeed a sunset in Notch's picture, he changed it so that chests face the player.

look very closly at the sand block touching the left of the chest. it isnt attached to the ground but is infact being held in his left hand

alright, quick sand thing and left handed block holding is getting out of hand.. so take a hint in this image here... count the pixels and you'll get an idea.

there is also more brushy scrub and cacti are alternating sizes. its so obvious. you should be feeling pretty stupid.

The Clouds. They turn in a orange color, while the 1.7.3 clouds just turn a shade of gray.
