PAX is going on all weekend long! Here, we will be providing updates to all the various Minecraft and Mojang-related goings-on, with on-site access by MCF's own WedTM! Check this thread (and our Twitter) frequently for updates!

Notch spoke about the upcoming 1.8 Adventure Update, and more! We will have

Confirmed so far:

cobwebs
endermen
new lighting
experience orbs
rivers
oceans
food-eating animation
variable-strength bow (hold it longer for more damage)
new (and expanded) biomes
1.8 will add Creative Mode
Creative Mode will have flight

it loosk really good but i diidnt understand few things like

Did he say that height limit is not gona change?
And why does he whants to make a village with npcs with you cant even communicate? whats the point

The height limit obviously changed if you saw the big mountain youl know what i mean.

Who said that you cant communicate with them.You will be able to trade with them i think

I hopes it comes soon! Also confirmed is Beef, and it is likely that arrows will stick in the bodies of creatures shot. There will be new Biomes, not just bigger ones, and probably Melons which will grow on stems will be added- all these have been confirmed. Notch also stated in an interview that he liked the way you could summon bosses in Terrarria, which sounds like a hint to me. Furthermore, living Pigmen have been confirmed, which are the possible inhabitants of speculated NPC villages, a fancy way of saying mob houses. I'm pretty sure Fish as mobs have been confirmed, and one of the most interesting features, the Sky Dimension, which actually has glitchy coding in the game already. When you go to bed, there is a small chance that you go to the Sky Dimension, and from then on you can go on purpose.

if you watch the recording of a stream about 33 mins in notch said height limit was unchanged

well @ 5:09 he sayd that probobly we will not be able to talk with them as he dont whant it but if he meens that we cant trade with them eather idk.

The height limit part i cant find anymore, i could be wrong as the sound quality isnt the best but atlist somwhere in the middle of video i thought he askt if the height limit is gona chnaged and he answered quet fast with no. soo yeah i am a bit confused as the mountains are qut high so it should be changed, so its probobly just me
