Sometimes, a creation in Minecraft is simply breathtaking. This is one of them. Conundrumer has designed a working Rubik's cube in Minecraft, and has even solved it!

This is quite an accomplishment when each rotation takes 5 seconds. He explains how the contraption was created at the end of the video, however, reader beware; it's quite advance.

UPDATE: Conundrumer has mentioned that his is not the first Rubik's cube to be made, and that forum user Openarl was in fact the first. You can check out his video .

Huh, I'm a speedcuber, if you can't tell from my avatar of a mirror cube. I'm on a hiatus, but I can still solve them in under 20 seconds.

my friend is a speed cuber, and when i showed him this, he complained how this cube is not actually a cube and some other boring things. anyways, good job TheConunDrumer!

But in all seriousness, this is amazing. And from the explanation part at the end, I can kind of halfway picture the mechanical part of it (at least horizontal slice rotation, idk how it also translates to vertical rotation... or maybe I do... anyway, the center block of each face is static, so that makes it one nanothought easier...)

But I cannot for the love of Creepig figure out how the wiring would work without breaking the Minecraft laws of physics... or at least using djoslin's VerticalRedstone mod, which there was no visible evidence of in the flyaround.

I made a rubiks cube in minecraft once, but it didnt turn.
I can solve one in real life though!

I think Eloraam's Integrated Redstone + RedPower would REALLY have helped with the wiring.

I...Hate...You! I go throughout the maps trying to build pistons to move blocks and feel so happy that i accomplished it. Then i see this.... and cry. Haha Awesome Job Good Sir!
