Many of you may have heard about the Humble Indie Bundle, in which select indie-developed games are being sold as a package where you set the price - Mojang has decided to sweeten the deal by offering Minecraft for free until August 14th when you pick up the indie bundle. Check it out!
Those who buy this only get Minecraft until August 14th. It's not everyone who buys this pack gets MC free forever if they buy before August 14th. I predict a sharp increase in MC purchases on August 15th.
Hey I thought this was Notch's Game... Mojang is stealing his thunder aren't they? I don't like it that Mojang is taking control! Notch you should Kick it up a Notch... lol. But seriously, No herobrine now free minecraft? they aren't bad changes just they are taking control.... PEACE!
I just spoke with support at humblebundle. What it is, is that you get a "limited time" Minecraft account that allows you to play the full game for free. This account expires on August 14th. It is NOT a free copy of the game. More of a taste for people, and if they like it, then they can go buy it
@jonnyrobbie
Cheap? really? you can set the price for 1.00. for 5 indie games plus a temp minecraft. Your the one whose ccheap some of this money goes o charity you Jackass!
nice ideia, u buy a trial version of minecraft (actualy its a full minecraft but with limited time)
So the people who try it will love it and when the time ends, they'll buy minecraft
it saies that you get to play minecraft for free till the 14th. I assume that all such accounts will be discontinued after that time... But thats enough to taste Multiplayer, and a smart player can keep SP indefinatly (albit with no updates)

You know that notch works on Mojang... and he is... kinda the most important member because he has made the only succesful game Mojang has... so i think when the others want to do something with Minecraft or in general , they obviusly ask notch...
Also What do you mean by " No Herobrine " ? , Herobrine wasnt is the game !! not even before 1.6 when notch posted " Herobrine removed "
Wow, this is really cool! I might buy this myself, or convince a friend of mine to buy it! <3 I think it's a wicked smart idea to include a "trial" version of Minecraft in this bundle. Like another user said, I also believe that sales of Minecraft will spike on August 15th. Thanks, Mojang!
Notch, including Minecraft in the Humble Indie Bundle most likely will not have any effect. If anyone who wanted to buy Minecraft was able to buy Minecraft, they already would have. For example, I and most of my friends do not have a Paypal; I had to persuade a friend to buy me a copy and then pay them extra. If you had say, a mailing address for Minecraft, I would happily buy dozens of copies and then distribute them; I am in no means poor, but at the same time I cannot afford the Humble Indie Bundle.
Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
A free minecraft? I have to get my friend who doesn't want to pay this.

I bought for the nomal prize(i bought befor the promo
****)So the people who try it will love it and when the time ends, they'll buy minecraft
And everybody lives happily after ever
The end.......
