1.8 Updates: Taller Worlds, Delicious Foods
Jeb posted another teaser image, this one of a cooked chicken. While nothing was specified about it, there also appears to be a new mystery bar beneath the health track - what could it be?
Additionally - Notch appears to have been experimenting with map-height changes. He went on to say that while nothing definitive is planned, they are looking into possible map height restrictions in the future.
Finally - a new launcher is being tested! You can help test it here. Bear in mind, it is only launching Minecraft for the moment, but the stress-testing of the launcher will provide helpful data for Mojang, to further improve it!
Stay tuned for further updates as they develop.
the "experience orb" is actually a "mana orb" and the "stamina bar" is actually a type of "mana bar".
After all, he said he was gonna' add alchemy sooner or later.
That.. doesn't even make sense?
Everyone is busting a nut over the new bar, and at one point everyone was flipping the **** out over the "experience orb" someone discovered.
Maybe that's what that bar is for. You collect the orbs, and the bar fills up and you can use magic on certain mobs and other things.
Floating, not flying.
Minecraft used to have an ABUNDANCE of them.
and , you get same with you .
the bar can't be:
a. Armor, it doesn't make sense to be that long
b. Stamina, that is something you find out by slowing down your movements + it would make more sense to let that one appear once you start running.
It can be:
a. Experience, it looks like a typical xp bar to me.
And about that armor bar; to make pics, they create a new world to simply take a pic, so why would they first go craft armor, and then taking the pic?
I like the idea of taller worlds because I can finally build my mountain top mansion without worrying about having to build a high mountain and I don't have to worry about the level height.
Oh joyous day, I have gotten to another level. Choose a perk I wish to have!
Strong back! Oh yay, I have aquired another inventory space! Joyous day!
The massive mountain looks awesome :biggrin.gif:
