1.8 Updates: Bow Mechanics
Notch mentioned another addition to the 1.8 Adventure Update - hold-to-charge bow mechanics. We may very soon see the inclusion of variable-damage weapon mechanics as a result. Whether this will be restricted solely to bow weapons or not remains to be seen.
We will continue to keep the community posted on updates as they develop.
I don't CARE about the Bow!
Make the Axe do as Much damage as the sword against mobs!

Bows I save for Hunting Pigs, Cows, and Chickens!
Seriously though, Can we up the Power of the Axe a bit? and have it be used as 2 Uses if you Smack a Mob with it?
I personally prefer axes to Swords... Dunno why though...

I think animations would be cool when you first saw them but then after that you would just not even be able to attack because every second a animation would start. NOTE: I only mean this if you are talking about animations that make it where once you press a button and the game starts making your character do random back flips and sword slices.(like in halo only halo's doesn't get that annoying. But if you mean it just looks different like instead of only making the sword go up and down it could go side to side or something like that then I agree!
