1.8 Updates: Textures & More

Additionally, Jeb_ has confirmed release of the updated terrain.png and items.png files, so texture pack artists can have their packs ready to go by 1.7's release. He also added that mossy cobblestone has been updated for 1.8, but will not be included in 1.7's release.

accually i was trying to respond to someone else, i guess i accedentally replied to you. sorry. i like the ideas you said.
Also, what do you think about mushrooms having a small chance to grow into the Huge Mushrooms like sapling to trees?
Quiver was an old, removed item left in the texture file, and i'm not sure what you mean by bottle.
However, it will also be cool to find a village and build a castle, making yourself their overlord!!!
Plus as some said it might be fun to harass the villagers by blowing up their homes or leader creepers and other mobs into the towns and watch the chaos.
It does'nt look like the terrain or items are updated and there was a "FIRE TEXT HERE" error. Is it broken?
Look at the date on the post. Those were textures for the 1.7 update over a month ago. (Yay thread necromancy) Oh and the fire text here has been there since before beta, it's just a placeholder for where the game engine renders the fire graphics.
