You're all probably tired of me bringing this up once again, but this is a friendly reminder that today is the day where Mojang Accounts are being retired and Microsoft Accounts will be required to log in.
While not all Mojang Accounts will stop working some may find that they can no longer log into Minecraft until they migrate their account. For those that are still able to log in with your Mojang Account use this time to migrate over to the new login system so you do not experience any interrupted play.
If you have any questions please review Mojang Studio's FAQ for Account Migration here.
???
i have a microsoft account so no i cant migrate and get a cool cape
Minecraft is still a goat game
Hi Guys
Bro they are really doing this, some people don't have microsoft accouts. I had trouble doing this but i got it. It said I needed a School Email
Hi I am new
The account migration is the biggest mistake that has ever happened to this game
this is awful
And so it begins.
Had Minecraft for 10 years now, and I refuse to migrate it to globalists. I'll rather play it cracked.
We need to go back to time of Herobrine and the simplicity of this game.
This is why i don't like microsoft. if they ever buy a software or game, they always claim it as theirs and treat it like the way THEY want.
Screw mojang and screw microsoft, these are the dark ages of java
My son is devastated that despite trying many times we were unable to migrate his account. It just kept sending us in a loop. He forgot about it for a while but is now wanting to play with friends and cannot. Is there anything we can do to recover his progress?
Migration for me was very buggy and Microsoft clearly messed up there, but I eventually migrated the account.
What I have not migrated yet is the launcher. As typical of Microsoft they are big on publicity but far too lean on details and consequences.
And a good thing it was, after viewing a few reviews of the new launcher it became clear that I has compatibility issues with mods.
Another thing I learned from being forced to look at migration is why Bedrock edition always felt inferior to me. First it was the lack of mod support (and I would never waste much time without mods, as the game is by far too grindy and not good enough in the automation side when played vanilla). And second, there seem to be a lot of core design choices that interfere with full automation designs... so it will likely be at least another decade before bedrock Bedrock catches up to Java for technical gameplay.
In the end, being forced to migrate the account made me learn a lot, and taught me that if they kill the Java version anytime soon, that is when I should look for a new game in this genre.
Already done'd. But why did the migration come in the first place?
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if I could get some help. I never got an email telling me about the migration and never got a migration ticket and now my Minecraft account got booted I think? I basically have to pay for the game again. I was wondering if it is possible to avoid this and recover my account and then migrate it, I also need help to reconnect to the tower on Minecraft dungeons due to being disconnected from the tower. Can Someone please help me?
Thank You

really funny video I found on youtube
We registered dozens of MS educational email accounts (O365 A1) with Mojangs Minecraft back in the days.
Such school emails cant be converted to a MS account.
(Took me some time to learn that from all those cryptic messages.)
We also cant change the old emails in the Mojang Account anymore.
Noone ever was able to provide a solution.
MS points at Mojang, Mojang points at MS and Minecraft Education and vice versa.
I spent a decent amount of my free time to hopefully making our students play again one day...this is a mess !
p.s.
Very sad you only just point at an FAQ, instead of a real support email for this very annoying matter.
