Another week, another snapshot! Winter is getting closer and it's getting so cold here in Stockholm that my fingers froze and snapped off while I was writing this intro (true story). Anyway, what better way to get into a festive mood than hanging out in a fancy new village in a snowy biome? If you're not into the whole being cold and wearing thick woollen socks in the horrible outdoors thing, you can always stay inside playing Minecraft and hang out in the new updated savanna villages. If you're hungry, grab some berries! Enjoy!
A full summary of the content available in this snapshot can be found in the changelog on Minecraft.net, the following is a short summary:

To get snapshots, open your launcher and go to the "launch options" tab. Check the box saying "Enable snapshots" and save. To switch between the snapshot and normal version, you can find a new dropdown menu next to the "Play" button. Back up your world first or run the game on in a different folder (In the "launch options" page).
Please report any and all bugs you find in Minecraft to bugs.mojang.com.
Snapshots can corrupt your world, please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.

Great work Mojang! Nice new features and changes!
I like it. Why nothing added to crafting though?
Very small spans between updates.
I spawned a flat world to check out the new villages, but cant seem to find one anywhere. Are villages currently not spawning on flat worlds?
Haven't tried a flat world yet, but village creation may vary by biome, or be random. My test world had a desert village that looked old-style, and a couple savanna villages with the new features. One of them might have even been two new villages beside each other. It was a pretty large area. I'm still exploring.
Be sure you kept Generate Structures turned on.
I did, and made sure that the plains biome was selected, but couldnt find any villages. The settings I used always had villages in previous snapshots
When will they update the villagers themselves?
Also think it would be cool to name villagers using nametags that way it is much easier to find villagers you have traded with before instead of going through each individual villager.
do bad omens apply to player made villages with villagers in them?
They should apply to all villages. I didn't see a stipulation about naturally generated villages in the wiki, and I don't think Minecraft cares to differentiate, once you start playing. Be sure to protect your investment and bring lots of milk!
You can't do that yet?
Also, it seems only carrots spawn in village farms lately, what's up with that?
I got wheat and potatoes, while looking for carrots, lol.
Villages made potatoes illegal
I do not want to spam, but I'm looking for help building new Illager banners, with multiple game versions attempted. Please see my original post in the 47a thread below:

Never mind...finally realized this banner cannot be reproduced without command access, to add the seventh layer.
Aha. So that's why you only find potatoes and wheat in their chests but not carrots, they're hiding the illegal crops!
EDIT: Wheat actually does grow, but only around some houses instead of in formal farms. Hmm...
Doesn't explain beetroots though, luckily I found a dungeon close to my village with beetroot seeds but not everyone will.
Hola cuando saldrá a la ps3 la 1.14
1.15 should be like dungeons and stronghold update because we got ocean update and we got village update so either dungeons strongholds or the nether should be next
So you sayin' we can do surgery on a berry soon???/s
I love almost everything that they've done so far. I am just slightly disappointed with the berry bushes. They look nice and they have a fun mechanic, but I really hoped they would've given the berry bush a block shape, rather than just a cross texture, much like leaf blocks and the "bushes" in jungle biomes, which consist of leaf blocks as well.
I think a lot of us use leaves quite often to give builds a little more nature and berry bushes would add some extra colour, which could look very nice I think. Or we could transform trees into cherry trees. I think as a block, the berry bush would have more potential.
Though on the other hand, you wouldn't be able to walk through them anymore like now. Or perhaps you would, which would make the bush even more unique.
Can you guys make it to where villages spawn flattened ground? It seems that every time I find a village It appears to have been hit by an earthquake.
The only easy fix I have heard of for the earthquake effect is increasing generation attempts for villages and completely erasing villages that generate on any uneven terrain beyond 3 blocks elevation change per block. I don't like my villages destroyed either, but it's worth the work fixing them if it's nothing drastic like a home in a ravine or on a mountain.
