Nice update, but we are still waiting for sharks... >:)
Nice!
Wait, is the Illager beast different from the Pillager beast?
there is no pillager beast
'Pillagers' are 'illager with crossbows' ...
The 'Beast' spawn in with the 'illagers'
Vindicators, Evokers and Illusioners can spawn in patrols too, which is pretty cool but removes some of the point for going to woodland mansions.
Also the patrols are far too common. I can definitely see ilmango or someone making an afk emerald, crossbow and totem farm...
Probably a bug.
iron golems are the protectors of villagers.
In order to counter the pillagers can they make it to where iron golems spawn more frequently?
Hey! So first of all does the "Effect" command already existed? And in second i was testing with and i discovered that ALL the effect symbols were changed!
I'm hoping with this that illusioners will now spawn in mansions too. They seem like a good intermediate difficulty between evokers and vindicators, that is to say they are harder than vindicators but easier than evokers when they don't blind you, and they're the hardest by far when they do blind you.
I find it odd that some guy in a month creates an amazing mod for the game in only about a month that adds more content than what Mojang adds.
Mojang needs an entire year just to get one update that isn't even as impressive as the community created ones. And this still doesn't count the fact that the developers is actually getting paid by multimillion company. So for me it's pretty pathetic that people suddenly cheers for Mojang.
Seriously Mojang, fasten your pace. Are you seriously losing to some random guy that releases much better content than you? Stop being lazy and actually do your work. I think the community is fully justified to get updates as big as update aquatic monthly in my opinion since modders can do that.
If Mojang can't do that, then thumbs down to Mojang and thumbs up for modders that made sure the game is still alive
.
So i could not help but notice that Cracked stone bricks are missing it's stair / slab and mossy was given them. This a overbite or intended?
You do realize all these updates go to all the platforms that minecraft is on right?
I think its amazing the community creates content, but a company works differently, it has to be approved by someone in the chain of command, what if mojang does have more than they are showing planned, companies have road maps. That doesn't mean we get to know.
No everyone plays modded minecraft.
Maybe you should think about the possibilities of what happens in a company before assuming things.
Also stop acting so entitled, mojang doesn't owe us anything. They could of simply stop releasing content after they released the game officially, and moved on.
Ok, look. No one is forcing you to play Minecraft. They work for Microsoft, which means that there is a chain of command. With a modder, they can just come up with the idea and then design, texture, and implement it themselves in a fairly short amount of time because they do not have to answer to anyone.
But with a company, the people who brainstorm the ideas pass it on to someone above them, who gives it to an artist to get a sketch of, who gives it to the coders to implement, who give it to the texture designers and so on. It takes longer because they are not freelance coders. There is an order that must be followed. And keep in mind, they not only create new content, but they have to code it differently for the what, 7 different consoles. Modders often only release on one platform.
However, the true reason most mods are updated fast is because most mods are fairly small. You fail to point out large mods, like thaumcraft, which have actually taken longer than Microsoft to update. Same with Ice and Fire, or Mowzies Mobs.
Overall, in the face of scrutiny, you have no argument. You are simply badmouthing Microsoft. GOOD DAY SIR!!!!
To be fair for some reason i think all of this are good ideas but they deliever poorly.
How to update
How to update?
Huh new things yea!!!
Modders don't have any financial factors to deal with. All their mods are downloaded for free. Also, the modders only have to release for 1 platform and they can add pretty much whatever they want because not everybody has to use it. If Mojang adds something somebody doesn't like, they are forcing that person to either deal with the change or hold back all features added in that update and any future update just because of that one feature. For this reason, Mojang has to carefully consider what the people want so they don't lose customers. And modders work off of forge, which does a lot of the internal work for them. Mojang doesn't use forge. They have to build upon their own API. Also, most modders don't really do much else, and that's why they mod. Mojang is a company, which does a lot of other stuff. And Mojang has to make everything bug free, while a modder simply releases the mod when it's done and fixes bugs with later updates. If Mojang did that and never checked for bugs beforehand, we'd have people complaining about that. Finally, when a modder and Mojang release the same thing, Mojang always seems to release it more conventionally and creatively with a better user interface and overall experience. For example, mods had backpacks for a long time, but Mojang came out with shulker boxes, which are more conventional, more balanced, easier to use, and more creative. Speed isn't as important as quality.
