Anything bringing us closer to 1.13 is good news! I can't wait!
We all know that dolphins are the second most intelligent being on Earth... behind mice. And we're third.
Watch a bug happens where the dolphins jump out of the water and fly infinitely upwards. So long and thanks for all the fish.
Yeah! Somebody else has actually read HHGG! "A triple backflip through a hoop whistling the star-spangled banner" = So long and thanks for all the fish. Or did you just watch the movie
Thank you for the infos

Here we go again with the lame, nonsensical excuses they have for not implementing cool and useful features.
Does that mean that riding pigs, horses, and llamas is also considered animal cruelty? Are they going to remove those features too?
And how about killing all sorts of animals to get food in the game? Is that animal cruelty? Might as well get rid of that, too.
Dolphins are probably just going to be another useless ambient mob like bats and polar bears.
Dolphins can help you find treasures.
That is actually a point.
Ye can basically torture the poor beggars but ye can't ride them? Like, I understand it is cruel IRL, but in this game, where they have no qualms in adding other morally ambiguos features, ye can't?
And - not to state an opinion - funnily enough we still use coal.
WELL they probably will be useless but think about just some new atmospheric that would be more common and what if they have some function like if you feed it fish it will take you to ship wreck or something
Probably ought to go back and redo all the current mounts since that's animal cruelty too. Might want to remove all weapons and tools too, harming mother nature and all that.
That ain't glowstone. That's a redstone lamp.
Thank you! I have fixed my error
Pigs: Domesticated hundreds of years ago.
Horses: Domesticated and used for transport for hundreds of years.
Llamas: So domesticated they're an internet meme and a requested farm pet in real life.
Donkeys: Moody, but domesticated.
Dolphins: Never been domesticated before, species in general is frequently abused in circus-like public amusement shows for humans and massive food-fishing operations.
Unlike dolphins, the others are way easier to justify being in the game.
Edit: ...as mountables.
According to this tweet, you wouldn't be entirely correct.
But besides that, one video game is not going to make a difference in politically influencing people no matter how popular, especially by simply not including a feature. The only thing you will do is annoy people that would never see dolphins in real life but would like this to be a feature.
The only thing we're doing by not including features for political reasons is making the game less fun and less imaginative. It's already a game without police, building codes, pollution, waste or most laws of physics... Why are we starting to put political limitations on the game now?
Well, I have ridden a dolphin before. They were domesticated, and it did not seem like animal cruelty.
Neither do tiger petting schemes, until you take a more cautious glance at them. Dolphins aren't even meant to sustain contact with human hands.
Well, neither were horses, until we domesticated them 3000 years ago. My point is, WE domesticate animals. The dolphins I rode seemed perfectly happy. I sort of see your point, but we find and domesticate new animals every day. Would having a minecraft snake as a pet be "animal cruelty"? No! Lots of people have pet snakes, and having domesticated dolphins and making money from them is definitely not unheard of.
I will be happy when something comes out.
As far mounting Dolphins, that makes no sense anyways. They do help swimmers by pulling them along with someone holding on to their dorsal fin.
Will we be getting this in Java Edition as well?
