  • As the release of Minecraft: Java Edition 1.13 approaches, this week there's another new snapshot bringing with it lots of bug fixes, facing part of /teleport, set_name function of loot tables noon and midnight to /time set and more.
  • During the 12 days of Minecraft, a piece of Marketplace content was free each day over the holiday period, which was a great success "[...] And so! Yesterday we asked you to vote on which of these seasonal treats would you most like to see made free again. I’m pleased to say that from now (ish) until midnight on Sunday 7th January 2018, you’ll be able to grab the following goodies for free". Norse Mythology Bonus Skins by 4J Studios, Lost Civilisation by Blockception and Santa's Gift Hunt by Polymaps.

  • Jasper continues his work on the new Minecraft textures, this week he asks "What do you think about the glow on the new ores?".
  • 4J shares an update on an issue from the end of 2017, "The issue with the Norse Mythology Mash-up Pack on Nintendo Switch is fixed for Japan and North America now, and it's back on the eShop!" and includes instructions on how to gain access to the Norse Mythology Mash-up Pack if you already purchased it.
  • Jasper is looking for help, "If there are good ideas for glass that has proven really well in custom texture packs, show them to me! The problem I have is that singular glass panes look kind of weird as it picks the 2 Mid pixels of the glass texture, if the middle is empty it's just a floating glass border"...
