Minecrafter Colonial Puppet has built a city. While many have laid claim to building a city in the past, few have taken it to quite this extreme, or this level of detail. While the builder offers little in the way of detail about his process (beyond taking around 5 years to complete), the results speak for themselves.
A tour through the city is breathtaking: parks and other civic works lie between the skyscrapers and various condominiums. A surprising amount of attention was paid to little details, from rooftop radio antennas and air units, all the way down to ground level, with street flourishes most see, but don't notice in real life.
You can download this massive city and play around with it yourself! Check it out right here: download
Wow; That's big...
Congrats Sacheverell! 2222nd post!

Please give us true new.
I agree with you. @pokemad1
You know a city map is good if the thumbnail of a zoomed out view of it looks like a screenshot from Sim City
I thought it was Sim City when I first looked at it w/o reading the title
And how expensive a computer do you need in order to actually load this?....
Are the buildings actually usable or are they just facades like 99% of the other city builds?
None of the buildings are usable. They look fantastic on the outside but as soon as you go in it is just as vacant as singleplayer.
I'm pretty sure that they're mostly vacant. Making something like this take an incredible amount of time, and getting even more ideas for the interior of a building can be a pain. I know all of this first hand...
Hmm, too bad. I personally would like to see a smaller city build that has usable buildings rather than something like this. Also, if you're going to build in Creative you should at least use some command blocks to help liven things up. (Or just install CustomNPCs to give it population, or something.) I personally only use Creative for testing purposes though, I am a Survival player mainly.
Will this work for the PS4?
It would be nice if someone would host downloads on some service that doesn't attempt to trick users into installing software unrelated to the download.
Forge hosts on one of those services too, as do a lot of mods. Seems all anyone cares about is the extra few cents they get paid per download when hosting on such a site... It's a real problem.
Its a hell of a lot better than adfly.
Damn that is cool
Vertoak City will always be my favorite.
Yeah, and I've never been fooled by those fake adverts pretending to be updates. But I feel for those who don't know any difference and end up downloading things they should not.
So? This project would have probably taken 5 more years to finish IF he has done interiors for ALL of the buildings. He probably was just tired of working on it for 5 years. Not everyone has all the time in the world.
I prefer to think of it as he's given you the chance to add in your own interiors.
