That's 18 million copies just on PC/Mac alone! Crazy! Minecraft is showing no signs of stopping its relentless domination of the gaming world, with an approximate average of 17,500 copies of the game selling every single day, on PC/Mac alone. That's crazy!
Were you around when it all started? If not, the above video is an interesting look into the past: the first-ever video of Minecraft gameplay, recorded by Notch as he coded the game into existence. Crazy to think the game we know and love came from such humble beginnings, but everything starts somewhere!
When did you first pick up Minecraft?
for me it was like 1.7.8 or 1.7.9. I knew of the game before hand but thought of it as a silly kiddies game and refused to try it. I took a leap of faith when friends said I should buy it for console, played it for a few weeks on ps3, then bought it like last May (roughly I think) for PC, then PS4 the moment I saw it. I love it :-)
SURE ok, LOL. Still kind of cool I suppose but good that you bought it officially etc...or did you?? *dun duun duuuuun* :-)
I did. My name is poiihy; you can check it if you don't believe me.
I first started playing the game over four years ago, back in alpha 1.0.1_01.
I wish we could play in that test world on A: textures from then and B: updated textures. That would be cool. At the time I don't think anything other than grass and cobblestone were really there, were they? and I also have a feeling that there was no render of the character for 3rd person (yet).
so true! When were the failed pigs (creepers) added to the game? And what was in the Adventure Mode update for 1.8.0? I never could find those patch notes and when I did I had to go (basically only was able to skim through briefly).
that is too good! Thanks for the link :-)
I begin minecrafting in 1.2.5 with cracked launcher, then, i bought the game in 1.4.7 about 1 year after i started
Why wouldn't it be? It should be legal, all you were doing was using his account, right? I am unfamiliar with how thigns were prior to 1.7 era (probably SHOULD downgrade version and take a look around, just that that is a lot of work (ok, more of a pain in the ass, but still ;-) ) haha.
sorry to hear that, maybe you should ring him up some time and catch up ;-)
