That way and my way both have their advantages and disadvantages. Right now it is going to stay the way it is, I might change it in the future if enough people want me to and I can work out an elegant way of doing it (ie: not having to hack a solution).

I don't see the use for random...
Perhaps a tunneling command to clear out space instead of using cuboids command to clear land? o.O
