I thought this was going to be some clever thing with pistons...but webs are not planned to be added, they are just there and not in the game. So no this has nothing to do with 1.6 as far as we know.
But I still want to see a clever pistons idea. I could see something like mobs are washed into a small area and pistons squish them to death and then you get loot. I can also see the pistons launching mobs so that spiders don't get stuck.
Zombies are friendly only if your brain is already eaten, or not in your head. I don't fall into either category, and most people also do not. Their hugs hurt so I assume they must be evil. Excuse my crude assumptions.
Interesting. You have a good point OP. Stats can be ugly. I honestly don't care about them myself. I think they are a mockery of the game. Since Notch stated you can just cheat your stats high by using mods to fly, or never drown, etc. I find them to have no purpose, and it would have been better to spend time on more meaningful updates. Now, stats aren't a bad idea in my opinion, but that should be for the developers to use to see how people play the game, and try to change it for them for the better. Good idea OP, hide the stats, I don't want to see them either.
I tried playing with a new pair of red-blue glasses, and they work on everything except for minecraft...When I close one eye or the other, I find that the red side isn't right, and I can see shadows of the stuff I am supposed to see on the blue side. Who else has this issue, and is there a way to alter the red color?
no, I mean bonemeal would make light colored planks, and black ink would make dark colored planks. Green dye would make the wood have a green tint etc. Why would there be an ID issue? He has done this already with wool, logs, and leaf blocks already, its not a big obstacle.
but then the person would just look up and see the extended piston and be suspicious and leave. But the pistons hiding turrets will be amazing indeed! So much will be possible.
I had an alpha map from 1.3 in alpha. I loved that map and even found a triple dungeon. Then I removed a mod to reload the game, and updated, but forgot to save my map and lost it forever. FM Minecraft L
I don't understand it either to be honest. I imagine all he could have to do, is have someone skin it in a way that doesn't look industrial. Honestly that isn't too hard, and I see no other way of making it more fantasy.
Hey everyone, simple suggestion. Allow wood(planks not logs) to be Stained with dyes like wool can be. When I say stained, I don't mean vibrantly orange or green wood. I mean its stained so that the color is more subtle, but still allows for people to appreciate the color of it. 1 dye can stain 4 planks is how I see it. Sure, this may not be the most creative or unique idea, but it could really make a difference.
It would pretty much work like the old asteriods game. If you flew off the top of the screen, you showed up on the bottom. If you went left, you got spit out the right side. If you went into the North East Corner, you got shot out the South east corner. However, since minecraft is accounting for a 3d enviornment, I don't know how that would work out, or if it could be done at all! It could be done if you thought of it looping back from top to bottom, sure that would be easy enough. But having the 4 corners of the map literaly come to one vertex, then minecraft would work like a globe, and I don't know of any game that has had to think like that. But, who knows, it could still be simpler than I think. But I have always wanted this idea, it would make travel less implausible from the East to West, or North to South etc.
if you agree with me (hopefully you will) post a comment in this forum.
" " that is a space "." is not a space and makes you look like the noob. No one responds well to caps lock either. You would also be naive or uninformed to call modding noobish. Without it, many servers would be hopelessly less interesting for one. The fact that so much moderation comes from mods attributes to its good qualities.
If you are refering to item duping, you can do that without a mod, just glitch it. But even then, its not your choice what playing the game properly means. You just prefer the game in its pure state, which is fine. Calling people who use mods Noobs for a reason makes you a jerk, and insults the talent of mod creators.
Have fun playing vanilla and thinking you are better than everyone else.
oh and pastmaster, the OP isn't civil, why should the OP get special treatment?
Now that they seem to be attempting to work with the modding community for real, I feel a little better. But honestly, there is quite a bit of bad business on their end. They are making 1 or 2 other games now on top of minecraft, which isn't even a finished game. They should work on minecraft first, then work on other stuff. IMO. Just wish they would patch the glitches that are glitchy and ruin the game rather than ones that make things nicer like water elevators, hidden lighting etc.
