I haven't really looked into the new advancements system and the chance of this server being on the latest version is slim due to the fact that This will be a modded server and will most likely be downgraded to 1.7.10 for that reason. I will look at the advancements system and newest snapshot today though and if I like it a system like that may be implemented on the server!
Hey, I'd love to join and am interested in becoming a part of staff. Also if you made it a Percy Jackson server with a lot of cool custom mobs and some fun plugins I'd think that would be fun.
I've been working to create something similar to this. I have all stages of planning down, but what you have to ask yourself, is how are you going to find the time and money to create a project this massive? With my network, I've been working for four years and it still needs custom plugins I don't have money to easily pay for myself.
My only advice to you is that you should not host your own server, as it will require you to leave your PC on 24/7 and will waste lots of money in energy, and to PLAN EVERYTHING before you start! Planning can be difficult but it will truly make your job a bit easier!

Yes, I have been thinking about it and I feel that If I pull a job, and plan my time correctly I will be able to have the time and money to get this up and running. I plan to learn how to do many of the things needed myself, like coding, to ease the cost required for the project so I don't need to spend too much on paying others to make stuff for me.
I am right now trying to plan everything out and want to have a very solid outline of how I will go about most everything before I go ahead, and also I'm still weighing the pros and cons between making a dedicated PC from scratch and paying a server hosting site...

All of this sounds good, provided you have the time and possibly friends to help you pull this off. But please be supremely generous with anti-griefing methods and all that.
Yeah, I'll make sure to get the best Anti-Grief, Hack, Cheat, I can. And while I don't have a team now, once I get my plans more down, I'll make sure to gather the resources and manpower need to pull this off.

You are right about the whitelisted part but as for Wyncraft, while it'll definitely share a few features I plan for the Server to be completely un-linear and to be less leveling up focused and more adventure, story, and socially oriented, though the server can be more or less what you want and there will be a leveling system and a rich mix of enemies to fight against.
I'm interested. always up to hang out with new peeps. Don't mind building, don't mind lots of work, and may be able to help with "government stuff" not completely sure though. depends on what you mean by that.
Not many details to tell, it's a brand new server so absolutely NOTHING is done to it, I am still putting it together, it's my first time hosting so it's taking me a few to get used to the owner role, but if your still interested I'll surly hook you up

Can you show pictures possibly? and what do you mean by don't they don't show up the menu screen on Minecraft? Did you change the forge version? Also walk me through your process of downloading mods, step-by-step.
