You might also bind the /jump or /jumpto command to a key of your choosing.

Yes, I already do this. I need the moveplayer command to help me make rather involved macros that automate building within WorldEdit. I use SPC/WE in conjunction with the wonderful Keybinds/Macros mod by Mumfrey.

Replace works fine for me, but unfortunately moveplayer doesn't. I sure hope this broken command will be fixed in the next version of this excellent mod. Cheers.

I don't have a server. I use World Edit in conjunction with Single Player Commands (and the Keybinds/Macro mod!).

SPC is still MC 1.6.2, so I guess there will be no WE CUI for the likes of me.

    Is that right?

    Cheers.

I like bats! I wish we could put leashes on them, though, so I could take one home for a pet.

Atomik Stryker (sp?) has a pet bat mod. Haven't tried it, but his other mods are great.

Rotten flesh, lapis lazuli and snow.

Its only on this one world.

I don't really care about the world. I care that Minecraft or Java or something crashed my computer and may crash it again. I'm annoyed that my computer now makes a bit of noise whenever I play MC.

I think u got some heavy CPU using things going on on this special world.
    - If u redston machines.
    - If u have lot of flooding water.
    - If u have many animals on farming.

    None of the above.

    Quote from Ritter_Kaldor

    - Or u have some massive mob spawning. (Maybe as an result of some chunk errors)

Computer started acting weird before the chunk error and spider army appeared.

My computer, put together just over a year ago, has these specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i5 3470
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
Graphics: Gigabyte Radeon HD7850 2GB Overclocked
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-222BB SATA DVDRW
Case and power supply: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition Case with 500W USB3.0
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Everything has been fine for the last year. I've been playing 1.72 for the last six weeks or so and am on my second world in it. While I was playing two days ago the fan started going faster and the computer began to whine. Fan got faster and noisier and continued that way even after I quit Minecraft.

Everything was ok after I restarted the computer, including the playing of pre-1.72 worlds. However, soon after starting that particular 1.72 world, the fan slowly increased in speed and volume. I got messages warning that Java was using 100% of one core. The game started to slow down and glitch. I quit MC but the fan continued as before. I looked in Task Manager and saw that Java was still operating and was using 82% of CPU.

I did a few experiments over the next 24 hours. I discovered that all my other worlds were unaffected, including another 1.72 world that uses the same resource pack (Defscape 64x) as the troublesome world. Now, however, my fan runs a little faster and noisier whenever I play ANY Minecraft world.

As for my troublesome 1.72 world, it came to a screeching, spectacular end earlier today. A great yawning chunk error opened up right next to my base and the fans went into overdrive just before the game hung. I restarted my computer with the aim of giving the world one more try. On entering the world I was confronted with a huge army of cave spiders who all jumped up and down simultaneously every ten or so seconds. I couldn't do anything (except drop torches!)

With the computer screaming, I bid farewell to the world and tried to quit before crashing. I couldn't.

I will post a screenshot of the "spider army" if someone could tell me how.

    Why did this happen?

And besides, the 4960X you suggested seems to be pointless overkill when I consider all of the other advice I have been given on this forum. Or do you disagree?

Fine. Get a 4960X and three 780 Tis. Without the money perspective it pretty much boils down to getting the most expensive stuff.

Hi jppk1. For practical purposes that I don't want to go in to, this thread is currently a comparison between the two builds mentioned in post 11, without any considerations of money.

    Your thoughts?

Ok, so for simplicity's sake we have Build 1 and Build 2.

    Build 1
    CPU: Intel Core i5 4440
    Motherboard: ASRock H87 Performance Motherboard
Graphics: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 Splinter Cell OC 2GB
    Memory: G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-220LBKS Black 24x DVDRW
Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-PS 80 Plus Silver
Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Dark Black Case
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1

    Build 2
    CPU: Intel Core i5 4670
    Motherboard: MSI B85-G43 Gaming Motherboard
    Graphics: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB
    Memory: G.Skill Sniper F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-220LBKS Black 24x DVDRW
Power Supply: CFI 700W 80+ Silver PSU
Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 Dark Black Case
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1

Build 2 is apparently more balanced and will achieve better performance than build 1.

Would that be significantly better performance, do you think?

the parts are more balanced, and you get a better performance off it.

What does "more balanced" mean in this context, and how will that lead to better performance? I'm kinda hoping other people will either back you up or disagree with you. I get a free education that way!

I really appreciate your advice and time. In the morning I will read and respond to any answer you give. Bed time now . Cheers.

Hi ZM. There seemed to be some controversy over some of the suggestions in the other thread, and frankly I felt a little blinded by science.

I don't want to talk about money. It's my thread, gosh darn it. :)

Why is the build you suggest better than the one I'm proposing? Is it because my system "won't reach 60fps on ultra on some of the newest heavy games"?
