Got started on some new textures.
I'm currently going for a bright pixel art look, similar to Siikikala's Vividian and Steelfeathers' Pixel Daydreams; would you say that my colours are too desaturated?

Hey guys! So I've been working a bit on my entry for the Jubilance Palette Challenge, and this is what I've got. What do you guys think
Stone bricks on the left, cobble on the right. Woods (left to right): Jungle, birch, oak, dark oak, spruce and acacia.
If I must be honest, I'm not a fan of the door.

Been working on some stuff. This is what I've got.
Oak door and rails.

Lithos:Core has alwasy had the slogan: "Mostly Faithful", but recently I've been thinking it really isn't Faithful enough. So I've been working on revising Lithos to really achieve the levels of faithfulness that I know in my heart I can reach. Here's the first screenshot of this new Lithos revision. I'm really feeling the traditional "defualt" vibe from this!

Thoughts?

Hey, how's it going? I made a few short lived texture packs a while back but kind of abandoned them after I got tired of Minecraft. Recently I was messing around with my bf with the new stuff. Despite my best efforts I couldn't stand a lot of the default textures, the natural stuff mainly. So I made some textures for grass, dirt and stone... Then I spent the rest of the day texturing. I forgot how easy it is to get sucked in lol. So anyways, here are the textures I made. I probably won't go anywhere near a full texture pack ever again but I'd love to get some criticism on them.
The textures are (going down each collumn):
Grass, Grass side, Dirt, Coarse dirt, Podzol, Podzol side, Oak log, Oak wood, Cobblestone, Mossy cobblestone, Stone bricks, Mossy stone bricks, Arrow, and Potion arrow.

I've been trying to find out how, I looked in Doku craft's files because it has a lot of features with mcpatcher, but I couldnt get it to work for some reason. I'll have to fiddle with it some more.
EDIT:
Oh, I actually got it to work

I would love to Alvoria! Seradicus, Zardium had just made a competition that finished not so long ago. So hopefully these challenges become more apparent and lots of people join in
@Meapers
I kinda prefered your old logs. They looks nice, but the old one worked better IMO. The top of the log also doesn't match the log that well.
Here's the old log texture, the reason why I didn't keep this one was because of the recent textures I was making didn't fit the style. Also I have yet to change the top of the log and those new logs weren't done in the live stream; they have been done for a while now.

Go check out this newly released texture pack - Mist! I hear the texture artist is charming and sexy and extremely talented and sexy and sexy. The image in my signature is a link to the thread!
But, just in case, click here!

NOTE: The new flowers can be turned into dyes corresponding to their color! I'll list them below but keep that in mind while texturing them!.
New to the /blocks/ folder:
New in the /gui/ folder:
New to the /items/ folder:
That's everything, folks! Oh boy, I'm gonna have fun texturing all this!... Y'know, once I get back into the flow of school, which started for me today. Woot!... >.>
Anyways, hope this helps everyone out!

I want to redo my Nether Brick, because it's honestly not on-par with the rest of my textures. I've composed a few concepts for what I wanna do, but I'm unsure of which one to do.
First up, purple stone with wooden bracing:
I think this looks good, and it would have CTM to get the effect I so desire. But, when put next to my netherrack (which you'll see in a moment) the purple and the orange-ish color clash in a way I don't really like.
So! With that, my next idea was "reinforced Netherrack," instead of Nether Brick.
This looks cool too, and would also have proper CTM, but... I don't know. The Orange-ish color of the netherrack looks good with the brown colors of the wood, but would it be to monotonous having a Nether Fortress be simply Netherrack reinforced into shape?
Maybe I'm going the completely wrong way with this... I don't know.
Oh, members of the TAU, please help! lol

I'm working on an adventure map of my own, but I'm running dry with ideas for that at the moment, and so I thought I'd switch gears and help YOU, so get my creative juices flowin' again!
Anyways, application time:

What is your IGN?: zeldahuman (all lowercase)
Architecture, or Terraforming?: Both, honestly. I'd prefer Architecture, though.
+ Architecture - Types of Builds?: Medieval, Steampunk, and Modernish, lol. (I usually prefer medieval/steampunk, because of the amount of detail that goes into it.)
+ Terraforming - Types of Landscape?: I'm pretty good with mountains... and rivers... well, anything really.
Do you know how to use MCEdit?: Duh.
Other Mods?: WorldPainter, WorldEdit, VoxelSniper.
Building Capacity?: I can build whole levels.
------
Below is a link to an Imgur gallery of some builds I've done:

Unfortunately, I don't ever take pics of the things I build, and I usually build on friends' servers, friends of which reset their maps frequently. So... the amount of good images is lackluster. I can assure you, though... I'm not a hoax. XD
But anyway, I tried my best to get pics of some of the cool things I've built. Hopefully it's enough, and if it isn't, I'll try to find pics of more things I've built.
Also, just as an added bonus: I'm really good with redstone.
Thanks Mini!

Normal Sandstone has been revamped, and now differentiates from it's original "Stone Brick" look entirely! I went with smaller brick sizes, simply because it looks better. CTM'd also!
Carved (Glyph) Sandstone has been redone to match the new Sandstone, and with it comes horizontal CTM with random variants to the middle texture.
Smooth Sandstone takes the shape of pillars, with an etching carved up it's sides.
The bottoms of Sandstone have been completely redone, resembling cracked stone. CTM included!
In-game look:
Also, in my livestream last night I made a new spawner and a new cauldron. Then offcamera I made a new cactus and hopper!
Next post will have pictures as it's late and I'm trying to post this quickly so I can get my butt to bed, haha.
That's all folks!

Also! Custom skybox! The mountains don't move, but the clouds do (duh.)
That's all I got for now, peeps. See ya 'round!

The only thing with the CTM, though, is there's no good way to make the yellow lines that go through the middle, without messing up the rest of the CTM... I tried it and it came out pretty crappy... Haha. Stickin' to just white lines around the outside though looks nice. Just a little bit of a heads up for ya there.
Why, thank you!
My only question to you, though, is should I make the CTM for the Orange, Yellow, and Green carpets complete CTM? As it is right now, if you try to do anything other than a square, this happens:
So, yeah... Thinki I should do the full CTM sheet?
Y'know, it actually makes me happy knowing I'm an inspiration to someone... that sounds like I'm tooting my own horn, but I mean really... I just feel, I don't know... accomplished. :')
Anyway, yes, I do believe less SB colors would be ideal. Go for it, pal.

Anyway! 'Nother Imgur Gallery, this time with the Redstone Mechanic-y stuff! Enjoy!

EDIT:: Crap, I forgot to put in the randomized pressure plates, and randomized Daylight Sensor... oh well, you'll see them soon enough.
