Elspeth jumped back, patting out the small fire. Deciding that he'd rather not accidentally kill someone, he sheathed his sword. He pulled the large spear from his back. The blade was rather long for a spear, and looked razor sharp. He threw the spear, aiming for a non-lethal spot on Callandra.
Tezzeret chuckled. "You'll find that I'm always ready. Fighting me is unlike the others - If you can touch me with magic or weapon or your hands, you win." He said, sounding exceedingly arrogant. He lifted his left hand, and two blue transparent orbs formed around Neos hands, extinguishing the magic immediately. "I'm the counter mage here, the only one left after my family was exterminated." He said.
((This is an interesting match up, as Tezzeret is specifically anti-mage.. I find it funny you just so happened to be against him. Only other option could've been Zack and trust me, you don't want to deal with that))

Sep 21, 2014Nivs energy dissipated, making a loud sizzling sound as it faded, no longer held in place by him. He fell to his knees. "If you had kept that up any longer I would've passed out.." He started, panting. "I'm the strongest here, but I don't last very long.." He finished, trying to stand back up. "Definitely pass.."Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Tezzeret smirked. "We've got a special place for sparing, let's not blow up the tent, eh?" He said, holding up his hands. A blue aura like light shone around Neo's hands, causing the magic to instantly vanish. The aura went away. "Follow me." Tezzeret walked forward into a hall and to the left. After a while of walking he reached a pit similar to the others - deep enough into the ground that you can't run away. He walked down the steps until he reached the edge, turned, and waited.
Sep 20, 2014Nivs energy sword changed, becoming more detailed. It soon looked like a fine double edged one handed sword. He swung it, clashing it down on the barrier. He then jumped back, noting that it would take more to penetrate. More bones formed, creating a right arm coming from the rib cage. A massive sword formed, becoming finely detailed like the previous. Niv coughed, splattering the ground below him in blood. He looked... Woozy, kind of drunken in a way. He began to move, much slower than before, but do to the reach of the arm it didn't take much to become within range. The massive energy sword swung from the side at the shield.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Zack smirked. "Well, a third recruit. Works perfectly." He tosses the piece of paper to the side. "Well, like the others, I'll ask that you spar with another recruit in order to prove your work. Had you arrived earlier you may have gotten the chance to choose.. Oh well. He can introduce himself." A younger man, of about the age of twenty one, cleared his throat. "Hi there, I'm Tezzeret, the seeker and scholar mage." He smiled. He was thin and wore blue robes outlined in red. He was sickly pale (Probably caused by hours upon hours of reading books) and his hair was a blood red color.
Sep 19, 2014Elspeth blurred, causing dust to kick up where he moved. In less than a second he suddenly appeared to the right of Callandra. He thrusted his elbow at her, aiming to simply knock her off balance as the sword sliced inward, although mostly for show. He would purposefully miss with his sword if she was tripped, mostly because the sword would slice her in half, cause all her organs to implode, then turn to glass.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
(Elspeth is shirtless, just some basic pants and his weapons strapped around him. He has fairly long blond hair.)
Niv's eyes widened as he saw the wave of energy. He couldn't quite react quick enough as the pulse appeared to make contact, but blue energy spewed out in every direction as the pulse blew past him. A skeleton like rib cage made of the energy was around him, cracked in a few places from the pulse. Blood was visible coming from Niv's mouth, as creating such a precise and strong manifestation required a lot of energy. The rib cage, although made of pure blue energy, made a cracking sound like bone as it slowly mended, fixing itself where the pulse had bent and cracked them. Niv coughed, drops of blood hit the ground. He held out his right hand and another sword formed, he began moving in, although it was obvious the rib cage slowed him significantly.
Sep 19, 2014Posted in: Forum RoleplayingQuote from CloakedShadow((Question, me and a friend of mine are planning on interconnecting our biographies. Something along the lines of being childhood friends and travelling together to Castle Nephelem. Of course, he'll make an app of his own. I just wanted to ask, would this be an 'ok' thing to do?))
Apologies to everyone, my computer has temporarily exploded, and is in the process of getting fixed. I am using a back up temporarily, but I won't be able to be as active until my PC is fixed. I will respond as much as possible.
Again, I apologize
Sep 17, 2014The same blue energy erupted around Niv, moving at a lightning fast speed across the ground and then going upwards, causing the orb to hit the energy, which was effected, but left Niv perfectly fine. He was now within striking distance, and the energy sword in his right hand came slicing at Arhurs chest from the right, however it wasn't a full power swing and it was obviously a bit slower than normal.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Sep 17, 2014Elspeth rolls to the side upon landing, ignoring the searing hot wound on his arm. He sheathed the scimitar, pulling the large two handed sword out of it's sheath on his back. It was easily 6 feet long, and looked wickedly sharp. The sword began to glow bright white and Elspeth sliced the ground, causing a large ripple to go through the ground as if made of water, and the spot where the blade made contact was turned to glass.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Niv smiled. I better take it easy this time.. He thought. Bright blue energy flowed around him, acting like a weird fusion of fire, lightning, and water. It flowed into his hand, taking a form similar to a sword. The sword appeared thick (due to the fact that it wasn't solid mass), but the blade and hilt were obviously defined. He began walking forward, his weapon at the ready.

Name: Neo Kalxianos
Personality: At first, he appears to be somewhat shy and perhaps unapproachable, but he's really quite friendly, if slightly eccentric. He's not usually one to start conflict, but he isn't one to back down either. He can be slightly unpredictable, though.
Power: He has control over the forces of light and darkness, casting light magic with his right hand and dark magic with his left. His magic gives form to the immaterial light and darkness, allowing it to actually damage flesh.
Favored weapon: His primary weapon is magic, with little more than a small curved machete to fall back on.
Backstory: As a young child, Neo had a tendency to remain aloof from big groups, always trying to stay separate from the bigger groups. He never liked the possibility of being the absolute center of attention, so he usually stayed away. He had a few close friends, but he normally tried to interact as little as possible with people other than his family and close friends. This was back when he was roughly 8.
His parents were hard-working people, and they worked very hard to provide him with food and a shelter. That is, until he found his magical powers. One day when he was 13, he was simply hanging out with one of his friends, when something very weird happened. They were having a conversation when his right hand was covered in a brilliant aura, and his left hand was consumed by a dark shadow. After several seconds of this, the two forces exploded outward in a brilliant wave of energy, destroying everything in the nearby vicinity and ultimately taking his friend's life. He couldn't believe what had just happened, but he couldn't help but sit on his knees, weeping over his deceased friend for hours until he couldn't cry anymore.
When he got home, he had explained what had happened to his parents, and they were shocked. Still they loved him, and they tried to help him gain control of his abilities. Ultimately, he finally gained control over his powers at age seventeen, continuing to train even after.
Then, a little more than a year before the present, the city he lived in was razed to the ground. Demonic beings burned everything in sight, leaving a trail of mangled corpses and burning debris in their wake. He attempted to stand up to one of these demons, only to be smashed into a building and knocked unconscious.
When he awoke, his life had changed. Everything he had ever known, everything he ever loved laid before him in a smoldering pile of ashes and dust. He couldn't help but cry over his loss as he wandered the ruins of his hometown. As he sifted through the ruins of his old house, he found a tiny stuffed cat, his favorite toy as a kid, and knew right then and there that his life has shattered around him.
Now, after hearing about Castle Nephalem, he's made his way to the castle to see what he could do to help.
Other: Nope, it looks pretty good dude.
Accepted. Apologies for he late reply, was busy yesterday
Sep 15, 2014Elspeth raised an eye brow. Wants me to go first. Good choice.. He thought. His body blurred, becoming nearly invisible as he moved faster than anyone could see, suddenly appearing above Callandra with his shield coming at her head from above.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Sep 15, 2014Niv smiled. "Yeah, this'll be fun. Come on then." He walked forward, leading to a large circle in dirt. On either side was a stair case leading down into the pit that was a sparring ring. No escape. He walked down into the pit, turning and ready to fight.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Elspeth shuffled. "Hm. Ok then." He said, his voice low and powerful. He walked off, leading down a right corridor to a similar looking pit. I have to be careful not to kill this one.. He thought to himself as he walked to the bottom and turned. He pulled out one of the scimitars on his side, wielding it in his right, shield raised on his left arm.
Sep 14, 2014Zack quickly looked over both applications before crumpling them up and tossing them aside. "Never cared much for them really. Now.. Both of you. We can't just let anyone join the higher ranks of the army just because you say you're nephalem. There's a test. You're objective will be quite simple really. Spar with one of our other nephalem recruits to show your skill. Where are those.. Oh there they are." Zack said as three young men approached from the other side of the tent. They appeared to be having a playful discussion before falling silent under Zacks gaze. One nodded. "Uh, hey. New people. I'm Tezzeret." He said. He was about average height, skinny and void of most muscle. He wore blue robes, outlined in red. "This" He said, slapping the man next to him on the back of the head. "Is Niv" He said, laughing a little. The person, who's name is apparently Niv, shook his head. "Thanks for the introduction." He said. His voice was rather high pitch for a guy. He was average build and slightly taller than Tezzeret. He wore simple pants and shirt, but his power was obvious in the fact that he radiated heat, as well as occasional sparks of energy flew around and off him. The last looked over. "And well, I'm Elspeth." He said. He is extremely muscular, making Zack look small. His body could almost be a walking armory - just from what you can see there is a large lance on his back, two scimitars on either hip, a dagger on both ankles, a large two handed sword on his back leaning to the side, a shield strapped to his left arm, a bow over his left shoulder and arrows over the right. His skin is also a darker shade than most.Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
"And well, you get to choose who you fight. Elspeth there is the newest edition, but don't let that fool you. He's not too easy." Zack said, pointing to a scar on his left arm. "He actually managed to hit me. Which is well.. Abnormal." He finished.

The castle stands, untouched. Enemies slowly closing in, armies amassing just outside the range of the artillery. We're starting to lose supplies, as nothing is capable of breaching the enemy lines at this point.
Siege estimated in: Two Days
Estimated enemy forces: Two Gods, 1000 soldiers, 10 titans.
Total available allied/controlled forces: 8 Nephalem, 200 knights, 100 archers, 30 artillery batteries

Personality: Callandra is a quiet person, but usually always voices her opinion. Even from a young age she tended to stay away from large crowds of people and keep to herself. Her magic abilities are weak, and she prefers using her daggers for combat. Sometimes hostile to people she doesn’t know, she can be stubborn and has a hard time trusting and opening up to people.
Appearance: Naturally pale, but not sickly so, Callandra is considered tall for her age. She has piercing grey eyes and shoulder length dark brown hair. She wears leather trousers, high laced boots and a metal bodice for protection. On her belt hangs her 2 daggers and a small leather pouch for carrying herbs and bandages. The cord wrapped around her wrist was her mother’s hair tie and the white hooded cloak she wears was her father’s. She is also very slender and instead of being incredibly strong, she is agile and fast.
Power: Fire Conjuring/ Projection. She usually channels flames through her daggers, but if they are unavailable she is able to conjure flames with her bare hands. A flame cannot be kept alive for very long and usually come in bursts or when she feels an extremely strong emotion.
Favored weapon: Callandra uses 2 daggers and rarely uses her power, due to it’s weakness and her fear of losing control.
Backstory: Callandra was born into a small family, in a small town. Her mother stayed at home and took care of her and her older brother, while their father would travel to the larger cities to work in the markets. Growing up, Callandra and her brother Gregar were extremely close, when the other children would tease her, they would get a visit from her brother. And suddenly they wouldn’t tease her anymore.
Callandra’s powers started to show when she turned 10 years, although they were weak, she still managed to get a fire going for her family in the harsh winter. Her mother, being the only other mage in the family, worked with Callandra on her magic, but only slight improvement was made. Seeing this wasn’t going to work her father decided to teach both Callandra and Gregar to fight. By the time Callandra was 15, her skill with daggers had surpassed her brother and even father.
A year later her brother came down with an extremely rare illness, making him bedridden. Her father traveled to find a cure, but if he ever did, Callandra wouldn’t know. Her father never returned home. Assuming he had been killed or starved from the harsh winter, Callandra and her mother were left to care for Gregar. Taking care of her brother quickly took time from Callandra’s studies, leading her to eventually quit them all together. Withdrawing from everyone more and more, her mother decided that in the new spring Callandra would be going to the closest city ((name?)) to have time to herself and away from town. So at age 19 Callandra set off, she stayed there for 5 months before hearing that the Lords of Chaos had broken free. Fearing the worst she rushed home. She arrived to smoke, smoke and death. Bodies of children, fathers, mothers, all in a pile in the town square. She broke down right there, seeing her family among the bodies, screaming she released a huge bout of fire that traveled over the bodies and buildings, eventually dying out in the sky. When she finally looked up, she saw through her tear stained vision, a man with a gash on his leg and blood running down the side of his face, incoherently muttering about “Nephelem” and “The Final Castle”. Picking herself up, she set her face in an emotionless mask and went back to the city. When she arrived for the second time, people cleared out of the way, seeing the cold expression on her face. This is where she saw the messenger, and this is when she left for the castle, swearing vengeance.
Other: Don’t think so
