I recently started a modded survival series on my brand new gaming channel!
It would be awesome if you checked it out.
I have been working super hard trying to improve with each episode I post, and I love hearing feedback and suggestions from all of you.
Here is my fifth video that I uploaded to day:
I think this one is a lot better representation of my video style then my first awkward one, which you could check out as well if you like what you see.
I'm going to be honest. Most free programs out there work terribly. Highly consider investing in a nice screen recording program. That is the essential to having nice videos, and you won't regret the dollars you put in to it. Konkon suggested a nice program for windows. If you use Apple, Screenflow is nice, and there are cheaper alternatives on the App Store.
For lag...
You can download a free mod called Optifine. Just google it. It helps make Minecraft quality better, raise up FPS, and overall makes a high quality game and video.
When I record, I also shut down my web browser, Skype, Spotify, etc. This helps my Minecraft work faster.
Good luck out there
Hopefully this was semi-helpful
Looks good! i use Action! it works great for me and allows me to upload straight to youtube, mic sounds good voice is clear, it would be good to have an intro depending on how serious you want to get with this channel also try thinking of things to talk about, the first few mins were you just giggling about what to talk about, having a partner is a great way to talk about stuff
Hope you dont get offended by my advice just trying to be brutally honest so you can be more successful you have amazing potential so keep up the good work! ignore any ignorant and negative feedback and just press on! thanks for the awesome vid and good luck!
Hey yeah as the guy above me said i personally use Action! to record my videos which is great as its fraps and dxtory put into one and is simple however, you would need to pay for as the cracked version simply don't work properly and usually use more of the PC than it should.
However since you use Screen flow im assuming you use a mac which doesn't have things like fraps or action compatible to it so the best suggestion would be getting opti fine as it seems to do a good job and increases fps by 20 frames usually.. so that's all in i can think of in terms of video quality and things
Other small advice would be listening to music before recording like that's a way to get you re self pumped up and ready to record all... yeah i don't know what to advise you cause im not in a situation to give advice since i don't fully know the ropes yet. Don't take anything i say in the wrong way, i was trying to be as helpful as possible
O yeah final thing is don't record in the night time i record at 2am because of time zone and its a killer some times also you could try the reduce click i think its called on the screen flow editing part
If you get Optifine, it'll fix out that FPS problem. It's not bad, but getting Optifine will make everything SO much smoother. I use Screenflow as well. Other than that, I really enjoyed that video! Subscribed and can't wait to see more
The talking to minecraft alone just comes with time. No one has ever started out sounding like the big minecrafters. I totally get where you're coming from about how awkward it is though!
Thank all of you so much! It means a lot to receive criticism and support.
I will definitely check out a new screen recorder, and have something to talk about and just be pumped.
Thanks, again. It means a lot to hear nice comments
Additional Info: I just started my Youtube channel, and I love meeting new people.
Skills: Breathing and eating...Kidding, I'm good at keeping a conversation going. I'm good at video and picture editing, and all things Minecraft and mod related.
