No drivers are available. Apple provides their own.

Maybe updating the graphics drivers? It's most likely Nividia then.

Strange, I have 2GB, and none of my mac friends are having the issue. The only thing I could think it could be was a mod. I installed Necrocraft, it worked perfectly, but then I tried to modify my texture pack to have one of the blocks. Then Minecraft stopped working.

Could be your .jar go to the minecraft folder and delete the bin folder

How much RAM do I need?

2GB is recommended but on a MAC it may be more.

When ever I try to play Minecraft, I enter my password and my click login, but it automatically goes to black screen. I have deleted the file and re downloaded several times, but nothing changes. I have downloaded all of the updates available, and apparently Apple suplies their own version of java.

Same here I dont know what to do

Hmm tempoary bug on mac or not enough RAM is all I can think of.

True but if others want to help maybe keep support in this topic and others can help I don't know I may reword that a bit. This for those who need like personal support/screen sharing and stuff. I wonder if I could help people through screen share/remote desktop as well.

    Mac Users!
Make sure you run latest version of Mac OS X and java and updated software and updated everything #Minecraft

What I need from you and why.
There are quite a few common questions and problems that can easily be solved through a quick search of the forums, however not all problems have been reported or occurred before, so you'll need to post a new reply! If this is the case, you're going to need to make sure I can help you in the most efficient way possible, for this I request that you include the following pieces of information in your post:

Operating system: Some problems can be caused by your operating system, certain parts of the game may not be compatible or need different configurations/setups.

Browser: Some browsers handle Java differently, they can cause the game to act 'funny' and not how it should do. It can also be helpful if you try the site in another browser, does the same issue occur?

Type of internet connection: If you find yourself constantly suffering from lag or being kicked it could be down to the speed of your connection, your results from http://speedtest.net would be helpful!

How did it happen: It's a broad question, but this can often help you and me to solve your problem. If you performed an action before the problem occurred or something changed with your setup, this will help work towards diagnosing the exact cause.

Is java up to date? Simple question, are you running the latest version of java? If not, update! This won't necessarily solve the problem but it could, worth a try!

With all this information your problem should be resolved in much less time, it saves everyone asking for further information on your setup and saves you posting lots of times.

    Before posting try using search!
    How to search!

This is your friendly guide on how to locate and use the search bar!

This is where the search bar is it's in the top right, under the text links, pretty much directly to the right of the main logo for the forum.

Type some words related to your question into the search bar:

When you're done, press the 'Search' button. You could press enter instead; it works just like Google!

Don't be scared off! These are the results of your search. Look how relevant they are!
Now, click on one of the thread titles to go there, or just read the threads from here.

Well, I tried it. I didn't have to send him my entire MC folder, but I did try remote desktop. I admit it was nerve-wracking to watch somebody remote desktop in, mere clicks away from discovering folders and past URLs of whose content you try so desperately to hide from the world, but despite all that, he really did help. A few changes of settings, some utilities downloaded and ran, and things were quite snappy. He really exhausted every option he could, without so much as a demand for much more then a "Thank you!" While the underlying problem was not totally eliminated, I believe anything that could be done on my end was attempted, and my computer is far happier overall as a result. And rest assured, there were no trojans involved!

Hmm Replacing the items gui interface in minecraft.jar might fix it. Finding the default items gui png file may be hard to find.

I think its a .class file, I just looked into every folder I had (including mods). Just not sure which .class file it is, since there is A LOT of them.

    C:\Users\z_neumann\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar\gui\items.png
    End of story.
